This is great! Home loss to a team within 8 wins of the Nets.  We're starting to look real good, boys.  Back to back losses to the 76ers and Nuggets.

I feel like the Nets are going to be stuck at 13 wins for a long time.  Curse of thirteen

Jinx

SMH

When will people learn.

Ha I was watching the last quarter on game update and it said 0.0 for the time.  In any case, I don't feel guilty as I don't believe in magic, but ugh
LOLOL nice try buddy you said earlier the nets were stuck with the curse of 13. JINX!

I somehow doubt that one Celtics fan's internet post about how Brooklyn would lose had a direct impact on how Joe Johnson's shot left his hands, hit the backboard, and went in through the basket.  I'm a bit skeptical.  Just a little bit.

I think I might move on from this pick. Minnesota sucks too, and the Pelicans are always a threat to go on tank mode

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Guys I called this last week. Nets got some easy games. Denver was suppose to win this. Now the Nets can actually get some momentum going.

Not good.
Nah, no need to overreact. They just lost to Philly and blew a 16 point lead against Denver. They're still bad. Brooklyn have been unable to win 2 in a row a long time. In other words, I'm not worried about them winning 3 of their next 7 or something.

I am worried about Phoenix being complete trash however.

Yup. Nets are bad, Phoenix is worse. I think we're looking at a 4th-worst position, which likely nets us the 5th pick.

Hey, I made a pun! Totally unintentional.

Mike
how many times have the 4th worse record got the 1st overall pick in the last handful of years? It just feels like the even worse and second worse pick hardly ever get 1st.

Once since 1985. But even if that seed had won it half the time since then, I'd still rather have math in my corner.

Mike

I guess if you suck at knowing things you might call it an over reaction.

Look at some of the games in the next 14 games.

2 against Sixers
Suns
Lakers
Wolves
Nuggets
Bucks

And mediocre teams

Charlotte
Knicks
Portland
Jazz

Yes they could of course lose them all but it's silly to think the Nets couldn't come out of this lineup of teams with 4-6 wins.

I don't think they'll win 6 of them, and 4 is unlikely. They blew a sixteen point lead over the Nuggets and I believe they'll be on the road for a lot of the teams you listed.

What are the chances we end up with Kris Dunn coming out of this draft? He's not as undersized as DA likes his guards, but he'll do.

I think he just goes with Brown at 4, but he might try heavily to move up to get Bender.

  • Everybody knows what's best for you
For anyone now watching the Suns/OKC game, do you remember about five minutes ago when they were up by 4? They are now down by double-digits. Time to turn this one off.

It pains me to relinquish the three spot to the Suns, but hard to see if ending up any other way.
