Honestly I think some people are jumping the gun by saying he's done, he's got all preseason to prove himself and for all we know the pain could have just come from landing funny at practice. What if he goes out this week and drops 20+ in both Milan games? Yes, he's a long shot, but he's far from being "done".

Are you suggesting people on this board might be making knee-jerk reactions based on small pieces of evidence? Sacrilege!

I know, crazy right? Especially on such an optimistic board!

How good of a preseason would he have to have to stay on the roster? And who else on the team is even a candidate to be cut? I think Turner is the only other guy who could possibly be cut outright before the start of the season and he is definitely more valuable than PJ3 right now.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

I don't think anyone else would be cut, I think it's more likely that we'd find a trade in some way like:

Boston sends: Evan Turner
Western contender sends: scrub+late first round pick.
Boston waives scrub and puts PJ3 into the back up SF spot.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Trade him for Durrant .

I expect one to last as about as long on the court before injury sets in once again.

Uh-oh, Evan Turner reportedly has a knee strain.  RIP Evan Turner.  At least the roster is sorting itself out quickly.

Think he should work first on staying healthy before actually preforming on a court
