I still think he can be a top 5 player. I'm going to keep this thread alive even if no one else does. Lets make thi the thread to root Rondo on in Sac. I really like Crowder too, but my love for Rondo will never die and my love for the Celtics is never in question.

Whenever, come back Rondo and lead us to more championships!

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

1. this is not a celtics thread so please move it to nba talk since it is about a sacramento player.

2. are you trolling at this point? because no one else on the face of the earth thinks rondo is a top 5 player in the nba.

3. please first explain why you think ainge and company dumped rondo and then explain why you think ainge and company will have changed their minds.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I like Rondo as much as the next guy (probably more), as he produced some of my best Cetlics memories, but he's past his athletic prime (like LarBrd has said for about 2 years now) and just had his national image destroyed in Dallas. I'm all for rooting for him, but wanting him back, making a thread about it, and promising to bump it "even if no one else does" is just asinine.

Nope. I loved Rondo when he was playing hear up to the last year and a half. Best passer in the game, WHEN he did play D, very good, and layed his body out for the team...

But he's a poor PG in Stevens system because he can't shoot. Smart has become more reliable than him and he's only been in the league for a year.

There is also a reason know one wanted him in a trade, or at least give up anything of value.

Nooooooooope.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

How many people like me came here to gawk at the absurdity of such a suggestion?

I'm bringin Rondo back
Them other posters don't know how to act
I think it's great to fake behind the back
And what more could a fan ask for than that?

Rajon, baaaaaaaabe
I see that knee brace, baby I'm enslaved
You make one jump shot and I'll start to raaaaaaave
Danny and common sense get out of my waaaay

(take it to the chorus!)

A long time ago Bill Simmons wrote an article about the Red Sox possibly bringing back Roger Clemens at the end of his career and said it would be a little like if you were dating Pamela Anderson and then she got super famous and dumped you, then went through a string of Hollywood relationships, contracted Hep B, lost her money, and then wanted to come back to you and tried to remind you of the good times. At that point you should just say no and realize what's going on.

This isn't exactly like that...but it's a bad fit. I just don't see any way.

Rondo won't be a Top 5 player on his team.  He is toast and he has a bad attitude...the worst combination to join a young team like the C's.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.
