These will be interesting numbers to pay attention to in case Sullinger or Zeller get extensions.  I'd say both players are definitely due less than Valenciunas, but $16 million is a lot, and it looks more likely that 8 figures per year could be where either guy winds up if they get an extension.

I geuss $16 mil in the new NBA is fair for a basketball player as tall as Valunciunas but it could turn into an ugly contract if he doesn't develop. He's still an underwhelming offensive player and despite his size, he's still not a very good defender either.

Considering the agent Sullinger has, if he performs well this season he will demand 16 million/year for sure. Zeller I can see going for about 12 million/year.

If Sully performa during the season,  yes.  I was more looking at pre-season extensions -- although this Valneciunas deal makes such an extension much less likely.
