Trade 1:
Bradley+Turner+Olynyk+Dragic+Dallas pick for Parsons + Felton

or
Trade 2:
Send Bradley to Phoenix; Turner and Dragic + Dallas pick to Dallas
Phoenix sends Morris to Dallas
Dallas send us Parsons

It is obvious why we would want this trade - Parsons fits with this team at SF perfectly. He can create and shoot thus being a perfect complement to Smart. Clearing the logjam (in either of 2 cases) is a nice side effect.

Dallas might want its pick back so they have an option to blatantly tank or as an insurance against injuries/underperformance. Turner can step in for Parsons, bradley will be a good backup to now injured Matthews. When Matthews recovers he can play the 3 with Bradley at 2. Second option allows Dallas to get an SF on team friendly contract locked up for a long time. I want to say that the deal is overfair to Dallas in either case, but I am biased

I like the both trades. Dallas is lacking bigs, especially a backup PF for Dirk. MORRIS or Olynyk would be good backups for Dirk. Turner can start at SF and AB can come off the bench.

The only problem would be if Dallas doesn't want to trade Parsons. He's been helping recruit by getting them Matthews & almost got them DeAndre Jordan. Dallas could also try and tank while keeping their current roster. Spurs, Clippers, GSW, Thunder, Rockets, Grizzlies should all make the playoffs over Dallas. That leaves the Jazz, Pelicans, Sun, & Dallas to fight for the 7th & 8th spot. If Dallas doesn't feel confident about their playoff chances maybe they tank to get a top 7 pick

I much prefer the second deal. I don't think Dallas will move Parsons until they are clearly out of it though.

Let's see how his knee is after reportedly having micro-fracture surgery before exploring any trade ideas involving him.

chandler parsons, age 26, per-36 numbers: .462/.380FG%, .542 eFG%,  17.1ppg, 5.3reb, 2.7ast, 1.1stl, .3blk, 2.6 TO, 2.1fls

kelly olynyk, age 24, per-36 numbers: .475/.349FG%, .533eFG% 16.6pts, 7.7reb, 2.8ast, 1.6stl, 1.0blk, 2.5TO, 5.4fls

and before anyone says it, i know they play different positions - but their style is somewhat similar, and i feel teh fascination with parsons is a "grass is greener" mentality. both are mediocre at best defensively. KO is younger but has foul problems which will hopefully improve as he learns and gets more respect from the refs.

we also have jerebko and hunter... rather give those guys the minutes than parsons, he's not going to make much of a dent IMO. he's also benefited from being on better teams so he gets more open shots than KO/jerebko/turner etc have. he's also hurt, and has a pretty big contract. i'd rather save the dallas chip for something better.

Dallas might want its pick back so they have an option to blatantly tank or as an insurance against injuries/underperformance.

Dallas is already insured against those possibilities because the Dallas pick is top 7 protected.

If they were going to tank, this might rather have the BKN pick, which could give them their own next year (if it's top 7) and another potential lottery pick.

Dallas isn't trading Parsons.  Cuban loves him and has included him in recruiting any big name FA they've tried to get.

I think giving them back their pick is reasonable. It mitigates for the chance they might lose the 8th pick. Giving up the Brooklyn pick for Chandler would be too much
