Nope- Exum doesn't excite me too much. In limited time in the regular season (and this summer), Smart looks like Exum's older, more talented and polished brother. Actually they don't look a like at all, Smart is just better.

I also don't think that Utah is so willing to get rid of a top 5 pick from last year- this would signal a failure in their management/scouting very early. They are most likely going to hold on to him, unless someone gives them a dumb offer. While I am not advocating for the Celtics to use all of their draft picks, Exum is not the guy I want to build around by trading future assets.

Demarcus Cousins, Marc Gasol, Al Jefferson, and Chris Bosh are all guys I would try to trade draft picks (plus players) for down the road, once this team is good enough to compete with just that one extra piece.

I'd trade Rozier and Young for him, that seems about fair.  I thought Utah played pretty well with him in the lineup the 2nd half of the year.  I'd think they'd want a ball handler in return, which is why I thought Rozier.  I'd throw in a 2nd or two, of which we have about 50.

I guess? Acquiring Exum doesn't excite me at all at this point, but James Young probably excites me even less.

Utah would never do it though. Their fans would riot.

I voted yes because, in a vacuum, that deal is a no brainer for the Celtics.

In reality, the only reason Utah would do a deal like that would, most likely, be because they know something about Exum that no one else knows about and don't want him around anymore and will take a really low-ball offer. In which case, I would be weary of such a deal.

Ten people?

Is this real life?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

If it makes you feel any better, we're now up to 11.

I dunno, I guess I'd consider the deal because it would make us that much more attractive to Ben Simmons.
