Who are the Celtics best three players right now.

I'm going to say Thomas Smart and David Lee. I wanted to say Sullinger but I'm eating a bacon double cheeseburger right now so that made me go Lean with Lee.

I agree with your 3.   I am pretty confident that Lee can still play at a high level and that it was the injury and coincidental emergence of a young talent that took his minutes as opposed a decline in ability.  But well see.

Some people are going off of past history and that's fine but how can you say it based off of what you hope will happen? Those picking Smart isn't based on play but on what we all hope for, the question is "right now" and that's hard to say because we haven't seen Lee or Amir as a Celtic but based on the past, they are better. IT4 is likely 3rd best but I could see other teams passing in him for some of our other players, like Sully for example. Speaking of playoffs, I wouldn't even use that as a measuring stick because everyone was a mess, except for some of our guys on D. Jae might have been our best player in the playoffs but I don't see anyone saying him based on that.

Thomas and Lee are the clear top 2 to me. The third is very tough, it's difficult to decide between Sully, Crowder, AB, and Smart. [dang] we have so many average players lol

I'm thinking about 2 way players. Guys that trouble their opponent on D just as much as O. David Lee doesn't qualify.

I'm going to reach out on a limb and say Amir Johnson is the 3rd. Two way player. Solid D and O. Those are the guys we're designing the team around, and who will stick and make a difference in the win column.

By "best" do we mean "best at basketball," and by that do we mean best basketball skills?

IT and Turner would seem to be locks for best 2 players if so. Their ability to handle and create set them apart, and IT's shooting and Turner's rebounding (for a 2-guard) set them apart.

IT is a flat-out liability on defense, though. Both he and Lee should be out I'd defense is critical here.
