Comes off as extremely young. He doesn't seem to be mature enough yet to be the player we want him to be.

Lol. Someones pants are too tight this morning.

He IS young. In the summer league with YOUNG guys.
What do you expect him to be? Act like a 40 year old Kevin Garnett?

Shaq acts more childish and will do so if he sees 100y.o.!

Why is it that being anything but unfailingly positive is met with derision around here?  I understand that you are all hoping he will be a good player - I hope so too! ...but come on, there is young, and then there is young.

And this guy does not , either in his play, or in the way he carries himself - seem ready to be the great hope for the future that you all want him to be. I'm not saying he never will be. But be realistic. Our team is not good. Smart is not that good. No one on the team is really that good.

We can still enjoy the team, and the rebuilding process. I think we would enjoy it more if we didn't sugarcoat it with a lot of nonsense. He came off as immature. Despite the hate from y'all, I didn't see one comment tending to suggest otherwise.

When you say he's too young too lead because he was goofing off a bit during stretch's and on the bus, expect some back lash.

A lot of players act like this from time to time during practices, they can't be focused all the time, being loose once and a while is actually a good thing. Question is how are they on the floor, and so far from what I've seen is Smart is locked in from the time the ball goes up until the final buzzard. He's taken the rooks under his wing and showed them how it's done, they've even said he was a great leader during SL. Now let him get a couple more seasons under his belt and have guys like Lee and Amir giving him more advice he has the makes to be a good leader, even if he isn't the best guy one the floor for out team.

You threw a lob for a highlight reel dunk and you really want to ask this question? Lol...figure it out my man.

+1. I'm a big believer in 'work hard, play hard'. The 'work hard, don't play' mindset works for a few people, but most will just get burned out, and it isn't the type of culture you want on a young team-- it alienates people.

What exactly did he do that makes him come off as immature? Your comment comes off more as a troll than he came off as immature to me
