Quote
Even at the end of the game, we lined up in different formation that he hadn't seen and he called out our play before I got the ball. I heard him calling it out. -John Wall on Brad Stevens

Comes off as extremely young. He doesn't seem to be mature enough yet to be the player we want him to be.

Really like the confidence! And he seems like he is having fun. I think we got ourselves a good piece to the puzzle.

Lol. Someones pants are too tight this morning.

He IS young. In the summer league with YOUNG guys.
What do you expect him to be? Act like a 40 year old Kevin Garnett?

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

That's why they qualify it as 'BB'IQ.

Shaq acts more childish and will do so if he sees 100y.o.!

Exactly. Out side of games Shaq is the biggest kid you'll see. In the locker room, practice, warm ups, walk throughs, bus, plane, etc. you ever see the video of him getting the fine while in Boston and takes KG to the ground?

Smart was very positive with the rooks giving them insight and leading them. Just because he keeps it loose during STRETCHING and on the bus doesn't mean he could be a good leader. What's important is how he handles him self once the ball goes up, and on the most part when he's on the floor the team does better even if his stats don't reflect it.

I never want to see Brad Stevens run across that many lanes of traffic ever again. He's too valuable.

Why is it that being anything but unfailingly positive is met with derision around here?  I understand that you are all hoping he will be a good player - I hope so too! ...but come on, there is young, and then there is young.

And this guy does not , either in his play, or in the way he carries himself - seem ready to be the great hope for the future that you all want him to be. I'm not saying he never will be. But be realistic. Our team is not good. Smart is not that good. No one on the team is really that good.

We can still enjoy the team, and the rebuilding process. I think we would enjoy it more if we didn't sugarcoat it with a lot of nonsense. He came off as immature. Despite the hate from y'all, I didn't see one comment tending to suggest otherwise.

Are You serious to criticize a 21 year old player for having fun?? When it came to game time he was focused as always.
Nothing wrong with having some fun, especially in summer league.
I mean look at Shaq, look at lebron
