IT
Bradley
Smart
Crowder
Amir

Call me crazy but I wanna see this line up alot.
IT can score in bunches and still PnR with Johnson
Smart is strong enough to guard a good amount of 3's
Amir still provides rim protection
Also TP for this series

TP back at ya. This lineup would be fun but this might be a very below average 3pt shooting group. As the opposing defense, I wouldnt closeout hard at all.

Yea you are absolutely right, I think they would be great defensively against other small ball line ups. I would put Hunter or young in there if I thought they would realistically be part of our rotation this year. Maybe Smart and Crowder will become 40% 3 point shooters magically!

ahhh defending the small ball. didnt even think about that.

Hunter
Smart
Crowder
Amir

A lot of scoring and defensive versatility.
IMO with IT in the 5 David Lee makes more sense (better PnR)

IT and Amir and Lee are going to be pretty good I think as an offensive presence.

Not bad. I like Smart at the three and Crowder is decent at the four.

The C's should have an advantage playing small ball in general, because they have a strong defending small unit, other than IT.

The trick will be to force the opposing team into going small a lot. That aggressive core of Bradley, Smart, and Crowder, will be a pain in the tail defensively for opposing teams.

IT4
Bradley
Smart
Crowder
Amir

The Celtics will have problems when they have to matchup against talented size. The bigs we play are non-athletic, and moderately talented, and we have a lack of real sustained outside shooting. I'm hoping RJ Hunter can help in this area.

IT4
hunter
Smart
Crowder
Amir(or Kelly)

Best small ball lineup.
Mixture of fast pace, mixture of PnPop
Mixture of good defense. Undersized.

Best offensive small ball lineup

IT4
Hunter
Smart
Crowder
Kelly

Best defensive small ball.

IT4
Bradley
Smart
Crowder maybe put PJ3 in there for defensive length wise.
Johnson

Would run full court press.

Guys, as i said earlier IMO IT should play with Lee because they both excel at PnR

heres an analysis of Lee's PnR game

small ball sucks. the way I view it, sure you may have some advantage on offense but you're giving something up defensively - to me that's breaking even and not an advantage.

You must have missed the NBA finals last year.

This is a good point. an IT/Lee 1-4 or 1-5 pick and roll is going to be our best weapon this season, I think.

Or the way the NBA has been trending for the last 5+ years.
