So this is a bit of an interesting fact. Apparently Perry Jones will be at the introductory press conference later today. I've been of the opinion that Jones will simply be cut before rosters finalize, but why would he be introduced at the conference if we don't intend to keep him?
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

You never know what'll happen. He could still be cut, but I'm optimistic about his place on the roster.

Probably just a technicality, rosters don't need to be cut yet...
but i do have to agree, i think one more deal is imminent before the season begins.

Same. Both the PJ3 deal and the Dragic deal came out of nowhere. I won't be surprised for a second with we get another deal or even a couple before opening day.

I was under the impression that he'd get a chance to prove himself in training camp before they'd simply just cut him.

I think he'll have a chance to make the roster and will be on the team at the very least until the last cut down day of camp.

Once training camp arrives and some people get hurt i'm sure teams will be calling us about some of our extra players.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

He's on a guaranteed contract--sending him to the d-league doesn't get him off your roster.

Where'd you get that impression? I don't think anyone from the team or the media has been suggesting that.

PJ3 has at least had a few flashes of greatness before.  He's even defended LeBron somewhat successfully (in the regular season) and is a total freak athlete.  Dude is only 23 and players have come on a lot older than him out of nowhere.

There were no rumors of any consolidation trades, and therefore, Jones is the odd man out. OKC wasn't able to trade him for an actual asset, so why would we be able to? All signs pointed to him being cut.
