The whole point of his losing weight is to be able to have the stamina needed to keep up his effort in more minutes (or even just the minutes he did play). If he gets it together, it's not much of a stretch to think he could get to 20-10/

Exactly. Stamina is the key.

I know that Danny must have tried moving Sully multiple times this summer, but I'm actually glad we have another opportunity to see what he's capable of.  We are ridiculously loaded with comparable talent at PF and it's a log jam that needs clearing at some point.  David Lee is probably the best of the bunch... but I do like Sully and I am curious to see what he can do.

His last 5 games before his injury, he averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists... we actually won 4 of those games.  Then he came back and actually was somewhat impressive in the playoffs... averaging 12 points, 7 rebounds with 55% shooting in 20mpg during the Cavs sweep.

I'm interested to see what he can do if he is indeed in good shape.   It's just a shame, because I also am curious to see what David Lee can do with heavy minutes and I'm also curious to see what Olynyk can do with heavy minutes... then Amir Johnson's natural position is also PF... Jerebko is pretty much a PF and Mickey is a PF (though he should spend most of his time in D-League this year)...   I don't see how this roster is going to work yet.

Looking good, Sully.

Prove the doubters wrong.

I've had more of a problem with his attitude on the court this last season, rather than his weight. Also, he should be practicing in Boston and actually connect with his coach if he's serious about being a Celtic, long-term.

Opinions aside, the notion that in order for one to be serious about being a Celtics one HAS to practice in Boston with one's coach during the off-season is first and foremost shortsighted, and completely off-base.

Ridiculous in all.

He could get to 20 and 10, but look up how many people actually get 20/10, not many.

For me, at this point, I'm done with Sully. Even if he can average more than 20/10 to me it's fools gold. He's just not big enough, not motivated enough and, imo, not a great fit here. I'd be very surprised if we don't trade him and end up paying him. Ainge likes guys like Sully, Baby and Powe for one reason: they are cheap. A few inches to short is ok when the money is small(ish), but let someone else make Sully rich.

Yeah really. Everyone goes somewhere else in the summer. I can't remember, but there may even be rules as to when the coaches can work with the players. Point being, you can find legit reasons to not like Sully without making them up.
