Not sure why focusing on John Lucas and his substance addiction help is of importance when Sully is concerned. He's a basketball coach, he has training facilities, and can help players focus... addictions aside, and offer some mentorship.

I mean, DeAndre Jordan is there working on his free-throws for example.

Since, when is a final paragraph a focus?

Sully really needs two things, a personal trainer that will make him do work, he has yet been unwilling to do at this point and a chef with a nutritionist background that can assist him provide him with fuel for his workout and assist him to lose weight.   A fitness bootcamp would have been ideal.

Now go on, tell us how he is perfect, our eyes betray us, how much you like him and how professional he is as a player.  I could use a good laugh.

Lucas' program, however, isn't limited to people with chemical addictions.

After he was cut by the Washington Wizards last summer because of poor conditioning and work ethic, Andray Blatche spent three months in Houston, where Lucas helped him lose 20 pounds and regain focus. Former San Diego guard Brandon Johnson, one of the key figures in a point-shaving case at his alma mater, is working out at Lucas' gym this month along with ex-LSU point guard Tack Minor, who is having trouble catching on with a team overseas because he's also 20 pounds overweight.

While the program may seem like a haven for wayward souls, even athletes with no apparent off-court issues make pilgrimages each year to work out with Lucas, who also runs camps across the country for the nation's top high school prospects and prepares college stars each year for the NBA draft.

The problem is that you're envisioning John Lucas' training facility as simply a rehab center. It is not. It is TRAINING facility first and foremost. That he also is able to help players/people who have lost their way due to substance abuse and what not it's simply a bonus.

Not sure where you're going with this last post of yours, it's a bit nonsensical I think... uninformed.

Also, lots of people have beaten substance abuse issues or more benign addictions by dedicating themselves to personal fitness. This is not a new thing.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Boy posting Blatche as a success story is dubious at best.

Compare his 2011-2012 season to his 2012-2013 season, and we can talk.

But, we can also name drop Blake Griffin and LeBron James to name a couple more among the many who have trained there at one point or another.

Blatche probably isn’t going to win this award, and it feels icky to give it to a guy thriving primarily because he’s finally trying hard and keeping his nose clean off the court. But anytime someone goes from nearly falling out of the league to bordering the top 10 in PER, he deserves some temporary recognition.

The Nets are overextending Blatche by running the offense through him in the post at times within bench units; his shooting percentage is already starting to fall as some of those face-up mid-rangers clank, and the Nets have been a two-way disaster anytime Blatche is on the floor without Reggie Evans next to him, per NBA.com’s stats database. He’s still a subpar defender, prone to confusion, botched rotations, and faulty mechanics. He gets out of control under the rim and along the baseline when he tries to do too much with the ball, and more of those possessions are going to result in turnovers as defenses recalibrate.

But he’s killing it on the offensive glass, passing well, racking up steals, and soaking up possessions.

I just posted something relevant in the 'official looks watch'

sully looks good right now, but im still worried about his dreaded post-midnight visits to the fridge.

anyway, g2g, will rewatch our glorious 2006 victory against team USA (with LBJ) the national selection equivalent of the C's eliminating Cavs in the first round  ;D and then go to sleep.

Lenny Chappell?
Wow, that's a name that brought back memories from long ago, when I had season tickets to the Atlanta Hawks.

Looks promising, but then again we've played this game already last year. I'll believe it when I see it on the court in preseason.
