Leonard is not exactly an impact player - but he is shaping up to be a decent back up. And there are always teams in the league (Clippers/Dallas) looking for decent back up centers. Trading for him might be the precursor for a move: trading Zeller to the Clips for a pick, for example. We do not have a need for Sully with Amir Johnson in the fold, and a plethora of back up PFs.

Your thoughts?

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
I'd much rather have Meyers Leonard, but I'm intrigued to hear about his little brother Myles.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Oh alright so I mis-spelled his name. What do you think of the idea anyway?

Though admitedly a fan of Sully, I think the right trade for Portland would be to trade for Olynyk rather than Sullinger.

I don't see what possible incentive Portland might have in wanting Sullinger over Leonard, but I can rationalize one for Olynyk (longer guaranteed contract).

Sullinger and Leonard's contract situation is pretty much the same, so no point really I'd think.

He can shoot the three well something that can't be said of Jared.

Agreed, at least for now, but yeah. I think if Portland has interest in someone it would be Olynyk because he can play the stretch role more effectively, plus has the incentive of a longer contract and cost controlled while Leonard will be a RFA next year.

It is pretty clear that Leonard is a better player. I don't understand why Portland traded for Plumlee.

It is a horrible idea for ...Portland? I don't think Portland would make that trade, as Leonard appears to be the better player.

Explicate. We have nothing but time dude.

Does Doc have room in money or numbers to add any more players?

But I agree, I'd do that in a heartbeat--and find a new home for Zeller.

The clips were famously short on big men. And famously short on free agent dollars. They have nothing to spend on a back-up center.

But they have since traded for Brendan Haywood. ...still, if something should ever happen to DeAndre Jordan, the Clippers are in trouble; it would be smart for them to trade a wing for a decent young big man.

I see what you are saying now. Why would we care about helping Doc in LA? Why would we trade any of our bigs to Doc for a Clippers pick? Is a Clippers pick going to be better than the big we send?
