Would you trade Rozier, Hunter, Mickey for Winslow? For WCS?

No that was a bad trade. I think Ainge even knows he got a little carried away there.

No chance. For #8 Stanley Johnson maybe, not for Winslow.
If I did make the trade I'd take Turner.

At the time I would have done #16+#28+#33 for #9...but I would not have done the trade Ainge apparently proposed (which reportedly also included the Nets pick from next year).

However looking at it now in hindsight, I wouldn't have done either.

Each of those three guys individually has just as much chance of become a star as Winslow does right now, based on what I've seen.

This - I was saying right from the start that Stanley Johnson was going to be a nice player.

I was about 95% certain he would contribute something from day one.  Just too versatile not too.  He's kinda like Smart in that even if his offense didn't translate, you could always depend on the fact that he would be an excellent NBA defender.

DA said he started to question himself with that trade proposal, which shows that he really wants to get a deal done to get better. But after words he said teams will regret not trading with him.

I can see it now, especially if the Nets pick ends up being top 10.

Right now Hunter and Mickey look really good. Hunter if he can add 5 to 10 LBS by training camp will have a definite spot int he rotation. We new about the shooting which we need, but he makes really good plays on offense and surprisingly on defense as well. Plus he got better and better with every game.

Mickey may have a harder time cracking the rotation just because how heavy the PF spot is, but man he can play some good D and he play really well on the offensive end.

Rozeir showed some glimpses of what he can do, I think learning a new positions has him thinking too much. Almost to the point if we had to trade Smart for a huge piece I'd almost be okay with it....Almost.

I'm still thinking Hunter will be one of the big steals of the draft.

No. Happy with what we got.

Wanted Turner at that point in the draft anyhow and Danny offered more than I would have for the 9th pick.

TP. Good summation of what I'm thinking too. Really impressed by Hunter in particular.

Does anyone actually still believe that Danny offered an unprotected Nets pick on top of that package? I just feel like there's no way.

Top draft picks are overrated. With 3 picks, we have as much chance (if not more) to end up with a player as talented as Winslow can be.
As Ainge said, GMs fall in love with their pick during draft week.
I personally don't believe in top draft picks. Unless it's the top 2 or 3, there is too much uncertainty. It's just gambling.

As for the nets unprotected pick, I believe Danny offered the 2018 one to Knicks. Not to Charlotte.

Edit : That would be interesting if somebody can calculate the probability of landing a very good to great player with those 3 picks versus a top 10 pick. Any maths geek here?  ;D

Coming around......

Nearly neutral ,,,,,believe we got decent value

If Hunter continues to shoot well and improve  , the 28 th may be better by itself than the 9th

Yes. Winslow is a potential star. I don't think that any of our guys are.
