that was quick - according to Gary Washburn, the C's will waive Phil Pressey.

So no inclusion on the David Lee trade...I wonder what that means for Babb or Holmes?

I enjoyed every second of watching Phil Pressey play for this team. Good luck, Phil; I hope you have a long career.

This makes sense.  Currently there is no room for him on the roster.  It also means the Lee trade will not be completed today, as Pressey could have otherwise been included in it.  Babb will now be sent with Wallace, as the C's continue to try to use their excess cap space in the meantime.

However, for Pressey fans, this is a good thing.  Assuming he clears waivers, there is nothing preventing the Celtics from bringing him back (if, say, they traded another PG in a larger deal).  If he were included in the Lee trade, they couldn't reacquire him until next year.

Sad but expected.   Admired the kid for hanging onto this team as long as he did.  Definitely showed grit on the court.

Hopefully, he can catch on somewhere.

Solid backup point guard. I would rather have kept him and dealt Banks 2.0 for whatever you could get. He's going to have a nice 9-10 year career as a backup point.

This is all true. If you're talking about the NBDL, that is.

I hope they make some trades and create a roster spot for him.  He's a nice third string point guard.

I agree that he is a nice third string pg, but i didn’t see much progress from him. I rather give that spot to someone that have an upside and higher ceiling.

good luck to him, he has been a real pro.
my advice:
1. work on your 3pters
2. go somewere where you can actually play(devealop) like europe or china for a year or two
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Good luck to him.  Always liked him as a third stringer.  Any team in the league can use a guy like that.

Though he'll have a hard time sticking around in the league if he never becomes an adequate 3 point shooter.

So true!!!   How can you not laugh hysterically when you read Banks 2.0?!  Its so clever and original.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.
