wanted Hood at the time but didn't object to Young based on the draft reviews.  Hood's definitely looking like he'd have been the better pick at the moment

Really? Bit extreme don't you think. He went 46. Almost 30 spots behind the Celtics pick. Many teams missed out on that one.

Also they drafted Smart, you don't try to develop two PG's at the same time and expect success.

Plus he looked good on a bad team, lets see how he looks with a maybe healthy Kobe and fighting Russel for the spot.

Hood was a better choice than both, plays SG, but also has SF size. Thats some one you can be a bit bumbed we missed out on.

i think you stick with Young because of his 1. Upside 2. Age. I honestly don't see him developing into the star everyone wishes he is. he is loaded with potential and i think its nice he started to work hard

I like Hood (and did at the time) but still go with Young.  At the time especially he was the right pick and for me I have had an attitude to not expect anything for a couple years out of him so I'm still just fine.

Young or Capela. I'm willing to give Young more time since he's so young ( ;D), but I'd be more than happy with Capela right now, too.
