Wow. So the only potential star they may end up with currently is Okafor.
I prefer Noel to Okafor.
I like Noel but I don't see him being a star or a player who could dominate his competition. I think Okafor has a chance at that.

Mike

A little cruel don't you think? Still I feel bad for Embiid......

I'm going to beat LarBrd33 to the punch and say...

* The Sixers wouldn't trade Embiid for a defensive role player like Smart even if the C's included all of their 1st rd picks for the next 20 years.

* This is a smokescreen by Hinkie so that they can draft Simmons in 2016.

* Embiid is truly a team first guy.

I prefer Noel to Okafor. I think Noel is the center they should build around.

Better chance Okafor develops defensively than Noel develops offensively.

Smart may end up being the third best player in the draft, which is where the sixers took Embiid.

Who are the first two? Wiggins and ?

Don't say Jabari. He had one of the worst injuries a basketball player can have. I'm not putting my $ on him to become a star any longer. I'm on the fence.

No.  What Hinkie's been doing is..:

A.  Bad for the game.
B.  Bad for the league.
C.  Contrary to basketball common sense.

Yet we've had a slew of people not only defending Hinkie but hailing him as some sort of visionary.  I was at Sixers blog once and it was like a freakin' cult where questioning the leader gets your head chopped off.  How many people here have held up Philly as the example we should follow?

So, yeah.  Feel sorry for Embiid.  All others can suck it.

Greg Oden...
Extremely insulting to Oden. Oden looks positively robust next to Great Granny Embiid. Actually that was pretty mean to my great granny. She hasn't been in surgery in years and hasn't hurt herself walking unlike Embiid

From what I've seen of him last year, I have him ahead of Smart. You could be right about the injury tho.

It could still work for the Sixers, Saric can still go to the NBA, Okafor could look good as advertised and Noel can improve. I don't like what the Sixers are doing, but they can still recover from it.

Ok but how do you really feel?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

That's a given considering the first stage of grief is denial. He'll eventually work his way over to our middle of the road team's forum, after he's done speaking over on the Sixers board on all the positive things about the surgery will do for Embiid and the Sixers going forward.
