Bennett still has some ways to go but with 5-7 pounds of weight loss, keep practising shooting , improve on lateral quickness could be a tough SF/PF to play against.

The Wolves want to shed salary right now but my gut feeling is that they want to surround alot of the young guys on the team with some vet presence as well

CBS I think can help out Bennett's game (refine)

To Wolves: Sullinger, Turner, Young
To Celtics:  Bennett, Budinger, 2nd round pick

Starting lineup
Johnson
Lee
Crowder
AB
Smart

Bench
Zeller/Mickey
KO/Jerebko
Bennett/Budinger
Rozier/Hunter
IT /Pressey

I like Bennett, but Budinger is a minus. Wolves were trying to trade him and a pick for nothing last year and nobody bit. Turner isn't much value either, so it's basically Sully and Young for Bennett? I think we're giving up a little to much. Maybe no Young? They already have Shabazz, who is basically who Young hopes to become.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

I don't think we'd have to give up much of anything for him.  Here is the rumored trade a few days before the draft.

"Per a league source, Minnesota Timberwolves have discussed trading Anthony Bennett, Nos. 31 and 38 to the Boston Celtics for pick No. 28."

There's no way I'd give up Sully for him.

Maybe a swap of just Young but Sully could weigh 400 pounds and still be better than Bennett.

Bennett is like a bad penny that keeps turning up in these forums. He can't play and he makes too much money. Budinger would probably be ok as a back up 3, but he's nothing special.

Terrible trade for us.  Bennett isn't worth Turner let alone the others.

Yikes that's a bad deal for us.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

It amazes me how people pick apart our players but see nothing but promise from other team's guys.

Familiarity breeds contempt. When you're not watching a rookie struggle for 82 games it's much easier to look at the box score or the per 36 and embrace overoptimism.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

You need to consider that some players may take longer to develop.  Young for example needs to make that open 3 to have a chance in the NBA. His mediocre quickness and explosiveness is nothing to get excited about

Bennett on the other hand is just as lost as Young is now, but he has elite physical tools, explosiveness for his size, strength, shooting (mechanics look good), passing is improving (wrap around pass under the basket).

He needs to get out of Minny. Prob needs to play in a good system like what CBS and the Celts have.

No guarantee he will do better but in a different system/under CBS who knows

I'd probably trade Phil Pressey for Bennett but that is about it.

He has already failed in 2 systems.

I don't understand the hate on Bennett at all. He's 22 and took a huge step forward last year. His major crime is getting hurt at the absolute worst time. We should get him while he's still cheap and try to do something very unusual in this league....player...development.
