This was a terrible game!!!!!!! Can't defend, score or rebound!!!!!!!!!!
I will only be grading players with a chance to be on the roster

Young- F---
No offense and still terrible defense. How can you miss that many wide open 3's!!! I can see him getting less minutes than he did last year

Hunter- F
Nothing impressive at all! He shot horribly again and was terrible on defense. I will say that I can see him playing more on the team this year than anyone else because he is the exact player that thrives in Brad's system

Thorton- F
Atleast he got a 3 pt play? That's about it he was blown by on defense and didn't do anything else on offense

Rozier- D
He got some points and didn't do anything on defense really. He can't play point and he can't shoot the ball. For those who still think he can take Bradley's spot this year you are crazy... but atleast he's fast??

Mickey- F
He couldn't score, defend or rebound. Not a good game at all for Mickey.

The team gets a F- altogether and I see nobody getting any real minutes this year.

And now all i'm thinking is when will people wake up and realize that they shouldn't trust Danny as much as they do.

Bad draft
Bad free agency

I hope you enjoy wanting to see your "team" burn and not succeed. You might as well be a Lakers fan. You say that no one played defense, did you even watch the game? Mickey limited Okafor to 13 points. RJ was great on defense, as was Roizer.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Young gets a D+ : Its clear he doesn't really get too many plays set up, looks lost on offense and defense, but has at least made strides to hustle more on boards and diving for loose balls.
Rozier- C: Our lack of pick and roll bigs that can shoot to spread the floor forces Rozier to be unable to drive, and take tough contested shots. He also missed way too many open shots like Young and Hunter did tonight..
Mickey- C: Good hustle to contest shots, but unable to box out correctly, but I can understand without a legit center, its tough for Mickey to defend and box out at the same time.
Hunter- D+: Liked his passing, but he seemed extremely passive.
Thornton- F: Really don't like this guy. Ugly shot, terrible mechanics, settled for dumb shots, and had absolutely no impact on this game except a few good fast break passes/shots.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

Young (D)…it was an F, but he had a better second half and at least he kept looking for his shot

Rozier (B)…very explosive. Looked comfortable running the point. Good potential.

Hunter (D)…very hesitant to make mistakes. Needs to relax a bit.

Thornton (D)…played hard. Didn't do much.

Mickey (D)….would've been a F for his pathetic rebounding, but he gets this grade for nice fronting throughout the game on Okafor.

Hunter and Rozier couldn't lock up their matchups they were both getting blown past by guys like Mcconnell, Grant, and Tokoto.
And Mickey wasn't guarding Okafor the whole game Holmes and Buckner were. You obviously weren't watching the game because Mickey was guarding Aldermir and Holmes who both went off soo yeah... ::)

James Young looks terrible. I think it's fair to say he isn't going to be an all star.

  • GOT IT!!!
Yeah I just started watching this and after reading reports I'm going to turn it off. Rozier might get some PT in the Pressey role but most will be in Maine or overseas. James Young where's the fire?

If you please....

Give us your take.  I'd be interested in seeing where it meshes with others, and where it differs, because the big differences in the grades that are already in this thread make it seem as if the Celtics/76ers played two games tonight, not one..
