Hey, guys, I just turned the game on.  I saw your remarks about individual players.  Is there any indication that they can play together offensively and defensively?  Any potential team players?

I think Thornton and Mickey are probably the closest to that.  Thorton looks pretty comfortable at the PG spot with his handle and passing, and he's struggled on defense a little his effort is definitely there - he seems to never stop moving.

Like Rozier too, though he seemed better in the first game then he is tonight.

Yes, but how does Thornton compare to Upshaw?

I love Mickeys game, tried to go up for a Okafor dunk. Im still trying to figure out the inconsistency in minutes.

it's a pickup game.   One of the commentators even mentioned it when talking about RJ Hunters struggles.  Saying hes seen him look a lot better and maybe he thrives more in a system rather than a pickup game atmosphere like it is here.

Observations before I turn off this train wreck of a game:

1. There isn't a single guy on the court for the C's who looks ready to play a single meaningful minute in the NBA. Not even close.

2. If I didn't know anything about where guys were drafted, I would guess James Young was an undrafted rookie from a small conference who'd never played against real competition. He looks completely overwhelmed on both ends.

3. Rozier is not a good decision-maker with the ball in his hands. He also gambles/overplays too much on D.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Young with the 3, Hunter and Young defensive hustle to get the ball, and Young gets the AND ONE!

Look, I understand our players aren't doing squat, but its the summer league. Give them some time to really get their feet wet, also Young missed SL, and was left in the doghouse in a year where we made the playoffs. Young is still raw, I think he needs better decision making, but I like it when hes willing to pass for a better shot or a lob, and being aggressive.

His wingspan can help in drawing contact.
