Maybe James Young will attempt to make a basketball play in the second half.

So far all I'm seeing is him shooting the ball out of rhythm. Dude has no flow or game.

Maybe James Young just isn't a very good basketball player. He looks pathetic.

You gotta be at least decently productive playing against the scrubs in summer league.   If you can't then it is probably back to Maine.  So disappointing.  I keep waiting for the switch to be flipped.  oh well.

Is there an example of anyone that absolutely sucked in the Summer League that went on to solid NBA careers?

no

while he wasnt downright awful,  I remember Al Jeffersons summer leagues being very underwhelming

Some of you guys are unbelievable... you were ripping marcus to pieces yesterday and saying he needs to get his team more involved and to take less shots... he needed to take those shots because everyone else sucks!!!!

Some of you even think some of these players are having a good half but i have seen nothing significant  ::)

I know the quarters are only 10 minutes, but 26-27 at the half?  Really?  These guys are professionals, right?  I would rather watch a WNBA game.   ;D

Not going to lie, I wanted Montrezl Harrell instead of R.J. at #28.

Me too!! I thought Harrell would bring a lot to the Cs that we needed/lacked.
Celtics fan for life.

Am I the only one who feels that people overvalue lottery picks?  Is okafor really that good?  Philly is going to stink.

You have done the same thing with Rozier...

You have been boasting about him all game but he has really done nothing. Some people have said he can turn into Westbrook but you have a problem with people saying guys like Okafor will be an allstar eventually??

If I had to choose between Okafor and Rozier I would choose Okafor without hestitation

Initially I'd have agreed, but after watching what I've seen so far of the SL I'm not so sure.

Rozier shows many flashes of potential - he has the physical gifts to be a good NBA player, he plays with great effort on both ends, and he has shown he's a skilled ball handler and can get to the basket.

Okafor looks like he's got a nice set of moves around the basket, but is too slow to actually take advantage of them.  It seems like guys can just see what he's going to do before he does it, and his effort level just looks meh.  He looks a long way away from being an NBA caliber athlete right now.

Sully has the mobility issues too, but (much as I hate to say it) he looked a LOT more skilled than Okafor from the moment he stepped foot on the NBA floor.  Sully knows how to use his strength / weight to create the space he needs inside, and he's pretty effective around the basket (even against NBA size) for that reason.  He's also a great passer and has a solid jumper.  Okafor doesn't seem to have any of that except the post moves.

Sully looked a LOT better than Okafor when he first started.  Sully looked comfortable on the court from day one, looked like he knew what was going on, knew where to be, etc.  Okafor looks somewhat lost out there and really LOOKS like a rookie.

It's still early so I'll give him time but I'm not liking what I've seen so far...and that's playing against D-League guys.

Hey, guys, I just turned the game on.  I saw your remarks about individual players.  Is there any indication that they can play together offensively and defensively?  Any potential team players?

Summer league sucks. I've seen better pickup games.

At least LarBrd33's happy. Okafor's not good enough to dominate at this level against undrafted PFs, thus the Sixers are a lock for another shot at the next once-in-generation big.

As for Young and Hunter, it's not like they haven't had open shots. At least Hunter can be forgiven for rookie jitters, but Young's a D-League HOFer. Never know it.

Not so far. Rozier's not a PG yet and there's no flow as a result. Lot's of chucking.

Maybe a kick in the balls will inject some testosterone into his play?
