I really like Pressey, but I understand we have more talented guards than him on the roster. There is just no room for him. Since his contract isn't guaranteed, he would be a low risk player for a team to take a flyer on. I know my timberwolves would love to bring him as a 3rd string point guard, because Rubio is so injury prone and Tyus Jones is a question mark. They don't have many ball handlers and Pressey is actually a pretty good one. I'm pretty sure they would send a 2nd rounder for him. Just a way to accumulate more picks, because we will have to overpay trying to get our star (See Charlotte offer). I don't really want to see him go to waste.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Would they really prefer him to Lorenzo Brown? If so I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Yes, I would like the trade from both sides. Lorenzo Brown is 6'5'' and is more of a combo guard. I wouldn't be pleased to see him handed over the keys to the offense if (once) Rubio gets hurt. Pressey is a pure point. Plus, Lorenzo Brown's contract is also non guaranteed, so if he really outplays Pressey during the preseason you can still cut Pressey with no cap hit.

Pressey (and Babb) should be salary ballast at the first available opportunity. Hopefully packaged with other players in a trade to consolidate several assets into a single one (preferably an expiring).

Pressey is actually pretty good and I hope he lands somewhere. As far as trading for him I doubt that's necessary and Babb? c'mon

Include him in a potential S&T with Toronto.
