He's either Jimmer Fredette or J.J. Redick at best.  J.J. Redick would be after a couple years in the league though, more likely on a second contract, so nothing for us.

3 point specialist basically. That would be the best case scenario for Boston.

Shooting wise?  Splash brother worthy.  His shot is that on, and similar mechanics.

If we had NOT drafted him---Golden State would definitely have grabbed him...I think this guy is going to be Great.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Best case scenario is Kevin Martin, another big shooting guard from a small college (with unimpressive college 3-point numbers) who went late in the first round and turned into a deadly 3-point shooter who also shot a ton of free throws and averaged over 20 ppg.

For his first year though, I'd hope for 3-point specialist.

Hopefully RJ Hunter has the efficiency of Kevin Martin with better defense and intangibles. That would be nice.

I have very unrealistic expectations, or better, hopes about this guy.  He potential is the ideal 2 guard to pair with Smart.  He can handle...is a solid distributor...and can shoot from anywhere on the court.  He clearly has to develop every aspect of his game, in particular, his physique.  However, his athletic ability and measurements are pretty underrated.

Here are some of the measurements....

Lane Agility   Shuttle Run   3/4 Sprints   Standing Vert   Max Vert
Devin Booker
10.27           2.75          3.28                 27.5                 34.5
RJ Hunter
10.87                     2.91                  3.26                27.5                 33.5
Terry Rozier
10.84                     2.84                 3.15                 33                    38

Player metrics link....
http://www.nba.com/draft/2015/prospects/rj_hunter?ls=iref:nba:draft:prospectindex/#nbaProspectPlayermetricsModule

RJ Hunter is 6'6 with a 6'11 wingspan and 6% body fat

Klay Thompson is 6'7 with a 6'9 wingspan and 8% body fat

http://www.nba.com/draft/2015/prospects/devin_booker?ls=iref:nba:draft:prospectindex/#nbaProspectPlayermetricsModule

Devin Booker is 6'6 with a 6'8 wingspan and 8% body fat

My hope is that Hunter is one of those picks that defy expectations....more than a shooter a 16-20 point scorer.

I was going to say Kevin Martin. Stole my thunder.

For his rookie year, same as Kevin Martin:

"In the 2004–05 season, Martin averaged 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game, and played sparingly, averaging just 10 minutes a game."

He'll shoot the lights out in the D-League

I believe he has the potential to be crazy good, like Klay Thompson good. I expect him to be good enough to be a solid role player who can be instant offense off the bench. I've been shocked how good he is defensively. This was sold as a major weakness of his, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I hope he can hold his own defensively against bigger bodies in the NBA.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

He had a good shooting night, but let's not go crazy, he ain't the second coming of Ray Allen yet.

Yet!!!! but as far as EXPECTATIONS go.. I expect a lot. I will also accept Mea Culpa's come seasons end from those who's expectations are far lower.....
