I honestly didnt hear bout this guy to a month prior to the draft. The kids a flat out Shooter  Yea he shot 30% last season but he was at 40% just a season ago. Carries a heavy load on offense

Do you guys think his shooting ability is any different compared to Young's? Does he crack the rotation?? Summer league expectations? I honestly have hope he will be a valuable asset moving forward and was a steal at his draft position

Pure shooter.  Also is used to handling the majority of shots for his college team so he knows what it is to be the focal point of the offense.  Honestly, if Hunter hits his ceiling, he could be the steal of the draft for us.

People point to his 30% from 3's last year but he fired them from NBA range most of the season. This may sound like hyperbole , but there hasn't been a Celtic on the roster with his range since Larry Legend ( Although Antoine Walker would disagree  ;D ) This kid has a swagger and a much better all around game than people give him credit for. He EXPECTS to be All Rookie and he fell into our laps at 28. I thought he's be a steal at 16!!! Call me the driver of the Hunter Bandwagon.
ALL ABOARD!!!

He shoots them deep all right.  The range is ridiculous, halfway from the college midcourt to the college nba 3 point line, and he splashes the 3-ball with apparent ease.

The more I watch, the more I see a smaller Larry Bird ( Although the obvious Curry comparisons will follow). Those quick no look bounce passes, the step back, fade away and even the way for someone who supposedly isn't "athletic", can create space with that herky jerky dribble and great use of their lower bodies to make up for a lack of blazing speed. He also brought the ball up court and played a lot of point forward. This isn't our Daddy's C's but they might be on the cutting edge of what is becoming the new position-less NBA.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've been up and down with him.

He's definitely a shooter, dangerous from very deep all over the court. I really can't see what else he does well enough to warrant immediate attention. He has good size for a 2, but he's really thin.

He may see time in the D-League until he gets his chance. With Bradley, Young, Smart, and Turner, fighting for minutes at the 2, on this terribly unbalanced team, he will be burried on the bench unless he makes a sudden mark for himself. I hope somebody steps up.

I think he will get a lot more space to shoot then he did on his college team. He was forced into a lot of tough shots with teams playing up on him and sending help.

Not really expecting anything more then being a floor spacer his rookie year. Maybe they throw him in the corner on offense.

  • GOT IT!!!
In CBS system I expect quite a bit. I think he'll end up being the best player the C's drafted.

Shooting wise?  Splash brother worthy.  His shot is that on, and similar mechanics.
