I don't see how we people here say that we are going to be worse than last year.

Because middle of the road teams never win fewer games than the year before.

(Except, for example, the 2006 Celts, who won only 33 games the year after winning 45)
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

46-36

Improvements from Smart, Crowder and Sullinger along with an upgrade in Amir Johnson will help the C's win 6 more games than they did last year.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Right now I'm thinking 10th or 11th in the conference.

36-46

Finish ahead of PHL, CHA, NYK, and ORL.

Because we are so young though, there is an outside chance that record is inverted depending on what Smart, Sully and Young bring into training camp.

51-31 and yes I'm actually being serious. Please don't flame me until the season is actually at least half over.

Can't we wait until we're half way through the pre season for this thread?

37-45

And I think the opposite of last year happens where we win a bunch to start the season, and then lose a bunch to close it out.

I'm on for 50 - 32. Optimistic that we are better - another year under CBS, a number of players to improve through experience and fitness and DA possibly to make more additions. While the numbers were good for the second part of last season, the Celtics won a lot of close games. This team will find ways to win close games and battle until the end.

I'd agree since I'm very optimistic too but I think the East will be better this year. Indy, Miami, NYK will be back in playoff mode while CHA, Orlando, Detroit have a chance to get in the 5-8 spots.

So I'll go 44-38.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I don't see how we people here say that we are going to be worse than last year. Like really, for half the season we had rondo and green, The team that should be looked at is the post all star group. We didn't get worse in the off season, I think people are still salty that we didn't make a big "Splash". Its not Danny's fault no one wanted to come here. I can't picture any way our team actually gets worse, like some people here predict. Tanking is not the answer to all problems.

go look up the 07-08 washington wizards.  scrappy team that had no discernable superstar and relied on both team play and overachieving players to bring themselves to the 5th seed in the East that season.  the front office was so satisfied that they brought back the majority of their team the next season to watch the growth.  now go look up the 08-09 washington wizards.
