So he'll be up for auction at the trade deadline, I guess.

Amir + Bradley + 2016 BRK 1st + 2016 DAL 1st

I'd start there.

Actually, I hope he ends up on the bench.  Will make his price lower at the trade deadline.

Wow great job by his agent. Big over pay but Magic must have got hit with the Monroe and Bledsoe warning and Magic paid up front.

I guess the Magic meant it when they said they were going to match anything.

I'd start there.

Those are the two picks we're going to combine with our own to get someone better than Harris, or if not better, real good but cheaper...

Maybe even a big guy or pure SF with lots of upside...

I believe both picks will end up in the 12-20 range.  Picks of that nature were not enough to move up into the top 10 this year.  I don't expect any different next year.

We'd be lucky to get a talent like Harris in the top 10 of the draft, anyhow.  I'd gladly trade both picks to get a swing scorer like that for a relative bargain price.

If Amir is healthy enough to do his thing then it's still an overpay...I agree we need to turn some clutter into quality but I think that package could bring someone better than Harris aboard.  I don't think either pick will be close to 20.  17 at the very best.  I think we'll have 3 picks all around 14, let's say averaging out to 15.  That provides a way better trade package than 16 plus 28 plus second rounders...We may not get into the top 3, but 4-6 could land us a really good center prospect.

Looking at the deals for Monroe and Harris, I have a little more understanding for Ainge passing on them.  Yeah, the cap will skyrocket in 2 years but we've got a lot of players we'll either need to resign or replace at market rates.

I would be fine with those deals for us honestly. Not sure what Danny would've gone up to for Harris, but the point is moot since Orlando would've matched.

Monroe we could've had in my opinion if we actually showed some interest. Whether it was a mistake or not, time will tell. We'll see how the rest of the next two years go.

That's disappointing news.  I was holding out hope for a sign and trade.

Why would the Cs want to give up assets for a guy who's not worth $16mil per year?!?!?
That makes no sense.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.
