"Sacramento offered Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore and two picks for Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, but Rondo wasn't interested in re-signing with Sacramento."  Feb 17, 2014

My how things change.

It sucks but I can't blame Rondo for saying no at the time. He really thought he was going to have much more attractive options.

OMG imagine being the coach? Him and cry baby together what a nightmare hehe.

Rondo was suppose to be so smart yet he still killed his own payday.

George Karl, Rondo, and Cousins.
Yikes.

Should point out if you read the article, it does not specify what the picks were (1st or 2nd round).

Karl has 99 problems….and just added another

I hope they sign Josh Smith too!

I believe the Kings have wanted Josh Smith for a while. As far back as the 2014 draft I think. I remember they were trying to make some kind of deal with Detroit for him that summer.

I wish Rondo the best. I can root for him on the Kings instead of the lakers. I think he will surprise people this year in a good way.

Congrats to Rondo and Sac. They are getting a quality PG, and he is getting a much-deserved 2nd chance.

I wish Sacramento well this season. Like how they are coming together. If they all realize that they need each other, then they'll go far with that team.

I believe this signing reminds me

Of High School chemistry class

Mixing together of volatile personalities

The end result maybe a near total collapse of the Kings by end of the season.

With Cousins, Karl, Divac ,  Rondo ,owners too......the whole group ready to tear out each other's throats.

There has to be a business structure or hierarchy ....who is who's boss .   Too many people with strong unrelenting opinions .

Too many alpha personalities ......like throwing bees in a jar and shaking them up

Jus sayin', LOL ;D :)

You've always been...."not too fond"...of Rondo in the past.

Change of heart?

A good article on Rondo from a few months ago.  Having the preseason, should hopefully help Rondo and Karl get on the same page or at least within the same chapter.

JaVale McGee needs to fire his agent because he cost himself even more. See ya in China

But...but...I thought McGee and his agent were geniuses for turning down Boston's offer because teams would be beating down his door with more money this offseason?

Javale has cost himself more because of injuries, conditioning, and just being plain dumb on the court.

Rondo always had the talent and ability to be very good.  His knee injury cost him a lot of money, but he handled the last couple of years of his career so badly on and off the court that it torpedoed most of the value he had left.

He's very lucky there's a team like Sacramento desperate enough to pay him $10 million.  Otherwise he'd be looking at taking a MLE offer from somebody to be the backup point guard, or simply going to China.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
