Nene on the last year of his deal would be a decent option as a bridge player. Offensively minded C, would pair well either with Amir or Jerebko in the frontcourt, I think.
I wonder if Ainge could potentially swing a trade with a third team: Evan Turner and filler contracts (Babb and Pressey) to Washington, a resigned-and-traded Bass to a third team, and Nene to Boston. Would shorten the roster a bit to boot.
