Fairly certain he can fit into one of our trade exceptions.

Would love to have him.

Don't be scared now Danny Ainge, but he's an actual center who can score and rebound and is actually over 5 feet tall (6'11.)

Would be a very nice center for us next to Amir. Apparently the Wiz want to dump Nene to get David West.

He only has 1 year left on his deal too

Go for it!

Amir Johnson (PF) and Nene (C) would be a very strong defensive combination.

Nene's low minutes the only thing stopping this Celtics team being a top 5 defensive team if those two were on board next year.

Dude's a good player but he's reliably injured and expensive for what we need at the position.

He's 32, in the last year of his contract, has a history of injury problems, his production has slipped at bit, the Wiz just lost Pierce and go into next season with just $5 million in cap space.

I don't think a deal with Boston would make sense because they're going to want players back and not draft picks.

According to the DC radio, they want to create cap room to sign West.

Nene of a 1 year deal would be a no brainer

Nene to Boston will be a good fit, I don't know if the price is right, but his play will fit well with our roster.

Not against it...  but how do we reduce the roster then?

too many pFs and Guards that are good enough that you cant just let them go...

1 of AB/Smart   and 1 of AJ/Sully/KO  have got to be traded IMO...but for what (who available)?

Danny got this team all screwed up....with to many of,the same player

Nene would be a very useful big against the REST of the NBA who all HAVe big players , and no scrub sized centers.

Danny's too stupid to get him

Thought the same thing when I saw that news.

Nene on the last year of his deal would be a decent option as a bridge player. Offensively minded C, would pair well either with Amir or Jerebko in the frontcourt, I think.

I wonder if Ainge could potentially swing a trade with a third team: Evan Turner and filler contracts (Babb and Pressey) to Washington, a resigned-and-traded Bass to a third team, and Nene to Boston. Would shorten the roster a bit to boot.

I've liked him at times, but I was unimpressed with him in this year's playoffs. He didn't make much of an impact on offense or defense.

If we were getting a 3-4 years younger version of Nene, I'd say go for it.  I really liked Nene back when.

He's on a rapid decline now, though.  Let him be a backup on a contender.
