Watch them have the 8th worst record and then win the lottery.

I think ....and I might be totally off base

Rondo

HURT

The Maverick s team in at least more ways than just playoffs .....he caused a lot of,people to look hard at who the Mavs were and who, they were going to keep........of course himself.......but also put dose of negativity on the Mavs organization.

I think ......the media has portrayed Rick Carlisle as sort of a ....."  Mean" coach  and not willing to work with star talent......I personally don't think that ..but I'm not the most feely goody person in the world either

I also think......clinging on to an old worn out Dirk .....is a sign of weakness ......desperation by the owner.

I think the Mavs ......via Rondos media bonanza has shed some u wanted negativity on Dallas.

I might be wrong.......it just didn't seem like a HAPPY CAMP to be at ....after Rondo

But ol,Shaq doubts it  ;D

mavs are trying to land wes matthews... that's the perfect kind of move to make them just good enough to stay out of that 1-7 range.

I would have thought Wes Matthews would have been out injured for most if not all of next season with that achilles injury. That is a very tough injury to come back from.

Dallas should make a harder push for Greg Monroe.

Yeah, if they miss out on DJ and Chandler that makes sense.

Hope Monroe doesn't choose them.  At this point I'd like to see him go to Milwaukee.  That would be interesting.

Probably Dallas will sign Robin Lopez and add a few middle of the road guys and try to just make the playoffs again.  Not looking like Dirk is going to get to contend again before he retires.
i think he ends up in portland

I hope Monroe does not go to Portland. Their house is on fire.

Monroe deserves a good home after all the crap he has to put up with in Detroit.

PP just signed with LAC, meaning Jordan is going back there..

Now most big free agents are gone, lost chandler and ellis ,looks like Dallas is stuck outside of the playoffs.

BUT

They might do the smart thing and tank because the pick is top 7 protected .

Maybe even trade dirk for more assets?

We should see in Parsons can be had for a decent package

I like Parsons .......that's a good Idea .......Mavs will get pounded into the ground next year out West.

I don't think the Lakers or the Knicks have a realistic chance at Jordan.  Apparently he really liked the Mavs pitch.  The Clips will give him the best chance to win a championship but if he really wants a bigger role than he'll choose the Mavs.

Bradley, Turner, and Sullinger for Parsons.  Think they go for it?

Yeah, I don't see Matthews playing much at all this coming season, and if he does play later in the year, he won't be very effective.

Dallas has to compete with the crud in the East to get to the bottom 7.  I can't see them falling that far that they will keep the pick

I like the potential of the Dallas pick more than the Brooklyn picks, personally.

Brooklyn should be a playoff team.  I could see Dallas missing the playoffs.

Same here. Dallas looks vulnerable. Brooklyn are solidifying themselves nicely.
I think they'll both be on the outside of the playoffs looking in.  figuring Nets for top 7 and Dallas 8-10 but obviously that can change depending on the rest of the offseason.  I don't see them finishing better than any one that had a better record than them last season and I think a number of teams that finished with a worse record will have improved enough to pass them in the standings

What we have to hope for is that Dallas goes into this coming season trying to compete. If they decided to rebuild, they'll slip into the bottom 7 easily in the West, which is still so tough. They need to be thinking playoffs going into this season and then find themselves falling short, landing in that 8-14 range.

If Dallas strikes out in free agency and wants to bottom out, maybe we can make a deal where we send them their pick back. From their perspective it would be very hard to bottom out if there is a chance you end up the 8th worst record and no pick. that would probably be to scary to risk unless they can get their pick back. the pick + something = Parsons?
