Paul Millsap staying with Hawks on three-year deal for $58 million, per source. Player option for third year.

I literally can not imagine a scenario where Orlando doesn't match a Tobias Harris offer... with 3rd stringer veterans like Amir Johnson getting 12 million per year... how in the hell can you pass up on 14-16 mil for Tobias Harris?

Also, we don't have the cap space to even sign Harris anymore... so yeah... forget that.

I wonder what that means for T Harris and the C's?? I'm thinking its a good thing because he doesn't want to go back to ORL... BUT whoever misses out on the LMA signing could try and sign Harris?? anyone agree?

We do have the cap space to sign Harris if we want to.  It can be created quickly.

I'm starting to think we won't though, that Ainge doesn't think he's a legit piece.

They can create some cap space.

I think Anige wants him, but for the right price.

Well yeah, exactly.

I think it's less than some other team will offer though.

I think staying flexible is the right move but personally I do believe in Harris.  If Ainge doesn't I get it.

What is this 3rd stringer nonsense? Johnson has been a steady starter for 2 years on a team that's made the playoffs both years.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

glad to see millsap staying with Hawks. The Hawks should remain competitive with splitter, horford, teague, korver and him. If they can add some smaller pieces could approach last year's success. I really didn't want to see them disbanded with out being healthy for a post season.

Too bad. It would have been much more interesting to see Millsap join that Magic team.
