No space left, unless Amir ends up being a sign-and-trade with money heading back to Toronto (unlikely), or the Celts stretch Wallace (unlikely, wouldn't create enough room for anybody special).

We wasted all of our cap space on Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebko?

Is Ainge freaking insane? There must be another shoe dropping, oh god, please, please let there be.

This is depressing

Who did you want Danny to overpay for instead?

Can you imagine paying Monroe 20 million a year ? And how disturbed everyone else in the locker room would be

We are trying to gather assets for a trade these contracts only make sense as expiring deals at the deadline, not players that others teams will want.

I hate these signings

There has to be another move coming.

Smart IT Rozier
Bradley Hunter
Turner (Crowder) Young
Sully Olynyk Jerekbo Mickey
Johnson Zeller

Does that roster make sense?

To Danny it does. Lucky cbs was high on Mickey. Danny prob would drafted with another pg with the 33rd pick

How is Mickey going to get any playing time?

We're at roughly $60M now for 13 players, and still have the Rondo exception in play ($12.9M). I believe we need to renounce Bass and Pressey (which seems obvious with Jerebko, Johnson and Rozier on board) before we use the exception.

So we could spend around $9M +/- moving Wallace or sending back salary. That's enough to sign Crowder, if we go that way.

For Harris, we could do a S&T with Orlando where his salary starts at $12.9M / year, and send back cash and/or picks. Ditto for Draymond Green. Or we could S&T Crowder for them?

If we utilize our space to sign Crowder, and do a S&T we could still be adding a $12.9M annual player. If we move Wallace we have max money (depending on the service years).

I think, signed amateur cap analyst.

Teams may not want wallace but there is a good demand for johnson, jerebko.

If another reggie jackson situation happens and a team like okc needs bench help, well celts would be a perfect trade partner

Reggie Jackson sucks

by my estimation we had 23 mil in cap space (if we renounced Bass, Jerebko, Crowder and Gigi)

We just gave 17 mil to Johnson and Jerebko.   That gives us 6 mil in cap space (if we renounce Bass and Crowder)

If we bring back either one of those guys...  we have no cap space.  At this point, forget about cap space.  It makes more sense for us to NOT renounce players and just hope we can use our trade exceptions to bring in talent.

If we dump Wallace's contract, we could have more... but this offseason is shaping up to be a major dud.

I think you're right but 6 million can be instantly created if we want with Wallace, among other moves.

Point is more than 0 which is what this thread was saying to start.  Sky is falling.

2016draft is supposed to be really weak.....

Yup. DrFt might be weak. Just one big star prospect right now.

This Celtic team finished last season with 27 wins and 16 losses.

With Thomas and others on this team from the jump we are going back to the playoffs!

I expect 45+ wins next near.

Amir Johnson will be acquired via S&T for Rondo's 12.9 mill TPE, thus that is why his 2nd year is not guaranteed. We still have the option of trading Wallace or stretching his contract to create more space. Therefore, we can still sign a max guy like Tobias Harris or Draymond Green.
