Need someone who has a grasp of the cap, didn't we have 23 million in cap space with now 17 split between Johnson and Jerebeko.

Doesn't leave much for Crowder, can we even make a run at Monroe/Harris?

I'm confused

No space left, unless Amir ends up being a sign-and-trade with money heading back to Toronto (unlikely), or the Celts stretch Wallace (unlikely, wouldn't create enough room for anybody special).

We wasted all of our cap space on Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebko?

Is Ainge freaking insane? There must be another shoe dropping, oh god, please, please let there be.

This is depressing

Nope.  Danny started the FA early and is done now.

He is a proactive gm

Who did you want Danny to overpay for instead?

Can you imagine paying Monroe 20 million a year ? And how disturbed everyone else in the locker room would be

We are trying to gather assets for a trade these contracts only make sense as expiring deals at the deadline, not players that others teams will want.

I hate these signings

Teams may not want wallace but there is a good demand for johnson, jerebko.

If another reggie jackson situation happens and a team like okc needs bench help, well celts would be a perfect trade partner

There has to be another move coming.

Smart IT Rozier
Bradley Hunter
Turner (Crowder) Young
Sully Olynyk Jerekbo Mickey
Johnson Zeller

Does that roster make sense?

I believe the Cs will use the Rondo TPE in a S&T for Johnson, which would leave them approximately $7mil as I understand it. We'll then have a $7.7mil trade exception we can use, OR could trade Wallace to Philly or stretch him if they prefer Free Agency.

Let's say the stretch Wallace, and can trade Bradley and / or Turner. They'd have a pretty large salary slot left.

To Danny it does. Lucky cbs was high on Mickey. Danny prob would drafted with another pg with the 33rd pick

Depends on whether they do a sign & trade with Toronto for Johnson, likely using the Rondo TPE and a pick.

FYI, if they use the TPE then they are not using cap space at all for any of these deals.  Having cap space and having a TPE is mutually exclusive.

Most likely, Ainge used the TPE to get Johnson and then will re-sign Crowder and Jerebko using Bird Rights.
