The worst confirmation I saw of the same old Sully was his being quoted this week at not caring whether he loses weight as long as he has the fitness to stay on the floor longer.

He said that last year too.  It's delusional.

Professional athletes who aren't rehabbing an injury (i.e. forced to rest) have no excuse for being out of shape. Given how overweight he was last year, it shouldn't be that hard for him to look quite a bit better in 2 months. I'm willing to be patient, but basically, if he isn't in legit good shape by training camp, we have to accept that this is who he is. Not a bad player, but nowhere near what he could be, which is disappointing.

It's only been 7-8 weeks. How much of a physical change were you expecting in that time? Sully looked liked he might have lost some weight. You can't expect him to suddenly look like Karl Malone, especially given he might have taken some time off at the end of the season to heal up some.

Not that I'm surprised, but 7-8 weeks is enough time to see a noticeable difference.  This isn't some guy who works 8 hours a day with a million responsibilities who is trying to find an hour a day to work out.  His job is to work out and he has elite trainers to work with him all day as well as dietitians.  No one is expecting him to suddenly look like Karl Malone, but noticeable weight loss should be expected.

Exactly...

If I can lose 10lbs in 4 weeks on diet along (with no excercise and while working a 9-5) then I can't see why Sully can't shed 20lbs in 8 weeks with full access to NBA training facilities and training staff.

he looks good if he want to be oliver miller lite.lol others have already stated that if you're a professional athlete with all those trainers/facilities at your disposal and you still look like that, man there must be something wrong with him.

Not a hater, just frustrated and skeptical.  He said all the right things last summer and then showed up to training camp over weight.  Then he balooned up to 300 during the season.

And no, he does not look good.

And the fact that he can easily pay for a personal chef is ridiculous.

He could probably lose weight via supplements without even working out.

And more than that, assuming he is working out, how hard is he going? It literally seems impossible to maintain that dough without trying.

What a legend. Max his fat a** out! It may somehow improve the team (50% serious, 50% my major depressive disorder speaking, 50% my anxiety disorder(s) speaking).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like it's time to give up on any fantasies you might still be clinging on to about Sully finally learning the meaning of moderation. He was caught on camera last week at the Akron Canton Am-Pro, looking as fat and slow as ever.

If he can't get it together for two months of the off season before a contract year, he never will. Given his weight-related injury issues, I think we would have to value him at something like 50% of his on-court production, which would put him in the $15m/3yr range.

Anyway, enjoy the highlights:

He is obviously fooling you guys with extra clothing. That is why he has the legging on. He has on paddings to give the illusion that he is fat then when the season comes around he will show up his new body - leaner and meaner.

Dayam. Still looks a little on the chubby side.

This guy has to do HIIT.  1/2 min stationary bike.  1/2 min interval jog, run, sprint, walk

In an empty stomach, even better.

Danny is probably not too happy.
