Gary Washburn: Expect several teams to be interested in free-agent forward Brandon Bass, including the #celtics

He is guessing. Celts unless get a big discount, are not bringing back bass. I would be surprised

 :-\

Exactly. Where was all this interest at the trade deadline?

My guess is that most of the teams that have a use for him are playoff teams that didn't have matching salary or useful assets to send to Boston in a trade.

Danny is just trying to maneuver a sign and trade to get something for him like he did with Humphries and Bayless

Love Brandon Bass - I really do. He is almost the anti-Turner in how Cs fans feel about him (despite similar production); however, I agree with those that think it would be best for him to move on to a situation that better suits him and us.

Honestly, I would rather take a chance on Josh Smith. Now that his huge contract is gone, he could really be a solid athletic, defensive oriented PF. I think he proved he could play fairly well within the flow of a good offense.

I would take Bass back only if we end up trading Kelly or Sully. I also like others have said like Jerabko. Tough call on  Brandon guy has been a model Celtic since joining the C's and would not be upset at taking him back or seeing him go to a contender and have a chance at a ring.

Here is a link to the profile on Holmes.  Inexpensive team player that would fit the culture - and fill the need for a "swing" player.

I like Bass, but I think it's time to move on.  He was a complete now-show in playoffs.  Rolly-polly Sully with a bad leg outplayed Bass so bad......
