@daldridgetnt: So, LaMarcus visit order again, starting Tue at 9 PDT: LAL, HOU, SA, PHO, DAL, TOR, NYK. (No need 2 meet with POR; they're already offered.)

Cs can't even get a visit.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Jon Duke @CSL_Duke
Woj says on FS1 the Spurs are frontrunners for Aldridge, but Portland is still in the mix.

Yannis Koutroupis @YannisNBA
.@WojYahooNBA seemed to downplay Aldridge's interest in Lakers. Said it's likely Spurs or Blazers.

I've never felt that the Lakers had a serious shot, anyway. The recent media reports linking him to that team were all from LA-based sources and seemed largely intended to repair the Lakers' shaky public perception of recent years.

we're not seriously being considered without a "Star" on our roster. We should get Patrick Star and SpongeBob!   ;D

Teams are legally allowed to schedule visits already?

they got an early early visit. Don't you remember lol

I guess unfortunately it was someone else or for another reason. Aldrige is not coming here.  My guess is that he goes to the Spurs or Lakers.

7 teams and none of them Boston.

Says a lot about how (un)attractive the team's current situation is.

Oh, I'd love to see Aldridge go to Phoenix and start at center (ala Amare Stoudemire) in a run and gun offense alongside Markieff Morris and guards like Bledsoe and Knight. That would be a super-fun team.

Maybe Celtics didn't want to waste their time and Toronto does?

How do Toronto and Phoenix get on that list and Boston doesn't?
Talent. They have more high level than Boston does.

(1) Phoenix has two above average starters - Bledose and Markieff Morris
plus Brandon Knight who got some All-Star consideration last year
(2) Toronto has two recent all-stars - DeRozan and Lowry
plus Toronto has an up and coming center in Valanciunas who is rated fairly well
(3) Boston has zero above average starters. Boston has zero average starters. Every player is either a below average starter or a bench player.

There is very little on the Celtics roster to convince a player he'll have the help he needs to win if he does join the team. Those are not perfect but they have more quality talent & are further along than Boston is.

Plus, I think Phoenix gets bonus points for weather and style of play.
