If Bledsoe is available as is reported today, Phx intends to offer Brandon Knight a $70 million 4 year offer, then we could team up to offer a great package for Cousins

Celtics to Sacramento

Olynk
Sullinger
2016 Brooklyn 1st rounder

Celtics to Phoenix

Bradley
Turner
James Young
2016 first rounder (Dallas or Memphis)

Sacramento to Boston

Cousins

Phoenix to Sacremento

Eric Bledsoe

Celtics Receive

Cousins

Sacremento receives

Bledsoe

Olynk

Sullinger

Brooklyn unprotected pick

Phoenix recieves

James young

Evan Turner

Avery Bradley

Boston 2016 first rounder (Memphis or Dallas)

Who says no to this deal?

I don't think that Sacramento will find a better haul that a potential top 2016 5 pick, Eric Bledsoe and Olynk and Sulley

Phoenix inexplicably want to move on from Bledsoe and get a cheaper and not as good guard in Bradley and a first rounder for helping to facilitate the deal.

The best part of this deal would be that we keep over 20 million in cap space, which we will need as there will be some big holes in the roster.

Celtics depth chart

PG Smart, Rozier
SG Isaiah, Hunter
SF Crowder, FA signing
PF Cousins, Mickey
C   Zeller, FA signing

This is exactly what I thought of as soon as I heard Bledsoe might be traded after Brandon Knight signs! TP

Don't know if I'd want to get rid of James Young just yet, but if you told me next years lineup would look like this, I'd reconsider:

IT4/Rozier
Smart/Hunter
Pierce/Crowder
Love or Harris/Jerebko/Mickey
Cousins/Zeller

Sign Pierce & Harris. Getting Cousins might make Love want to at least visit Boston. If not, go after Tobias. I doubt we'd have trouble closing games w/ IT4, Love or Harris, & Pierce!

The question you always want to ask when you're coming up with these 3 team deals: why wouldn't the third team just deal with our ideal trade partner directly?

Would Phoenix offer, say, Bledsoe, Len, Booker, Warren and a 1st to Sacramento?  Would that beat the package Sacramento would be getting in your deal?

Assume that Sacramento regards the 2016 Brooklyn pick as likely to fall in the 12-20 range.

Sacramento is better off with Russell and Randle from LA than that trade
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Absolutely.  Sounds like LA is reluctant to make that deal, though.

The Lakers would reportedly be more than willing to include D'Angelo Russell in a deal that would net them DeMarcus Cousins.

I think if Sacramento is willing to trade for a package that centers around Bledsoe then they would absolutely go after him themselves.

I'm real curious about Bledsoe's value and what the Suns want for him. Apparently New York didn't want a package centered around him for the 4th pick. Honestly I think it makes more sense for the Suns to keep him since point guard is such a deep position in the league and few teams have a need there.

Maybe he makes sense in Houston for Terrence Jones and picks, but I can't see the Suns just trading him for picks, since they are already so young.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Just saw this

Kings owner Vivek Ranadive gave DeMarcus Cousins' agent permission to pursue a trade to the Lakers before talks fizzled out, sources told USA Today's Sam Amick.

As we saw last year, looking to get good value for your star point guard is a tough place to be right now.  Too many teams have quality point guards.  It has to be a really big upgrade for it to be worth giving up substantial assets.  Most teams have no reason to consider giving up a really good wing or big man to get an upgrade at point guard.

Also with Bledsoe I think other teams will be wary because of his knee issues, plus the way his restricted free agency played out last year, and the fact that the Suns are so willing to move on from him now, suggests that the team that trades for him might regret it before too long.

I think SAC and PHOE says no.  No one wants our guys that much.  The draft should have told you that.

This.

Sacremento isn't trading Cousins until the trade deadline at the earliest.  They determined to try to make it work.  They drafted WCS to placate Cousins.  If they fire Karl then we absolutely know they are not trading Cousins versus now when the evidence only suggests that they are planning on keeping him.

Let me know if/when something happens here.

At the trade deadline we have Wallace's 10 million expiring deal which could have a lot of value then and have a lot  more value if paired with the Brooklyn pick if they are in the basement of the East which is what i expect
