Carmelo feels Phil needs to make moves that can help immediately. "He said, 'we have to wait three years for this guy?'" Knick source claims

Apparently Melo asked Jackson why he brought in Kristap, and Jackson assured him its to benefit you. So hes a little confused, and definitely and rightfully upset along with a buttload of Knicks fans who were screaming defense.

I think Winslow, and Melo at the 3/4 would've been nice. Just get a decent Center, and let Melo take over the game.

Only problem is we'll see how long it takes for Kristap to develop, but Melo may request a trade soon. Do we go after him?

I thought about this earlier today, thanks for posting. I think there's a good chance Phil puts Melo on the trading block, and goes young.

I would not want to take Melo because, a. I think the price tag would be too high, and b. we would be throwing our eggs into the "win it all" now basket, and frankly, Melo alone is not going to get us to that promised land. He is only going to decline as a player, and I am not interested in paying him max dollars during the twilight of his career.

I don't think I would.  He is on the wrong side of 30, already hurt, and makes a ton of cash.  Plus, he has never won anything in the NBA.

If we signed Love, and brought in a defensive 5, I would gladly bring in Melo. I think Melo is the only guy in the league that can take really tough shots, and has shown he can despite the talent discrepancy on his earlier teams.

Well it depends on what the best team he has ever been on is.

Anthony needs to concern himself with rehabbing his knee and collecting his pay check.
Probably unhappy with Kristaps' lack of Street Cred.
Knicks should continue to build their roster as if he didn't exist.

With what?

The Kristaps pick would definitely mystify me if I were a Knicks fan.  WCS, Winslow, Johnson, Hezonja ... all would probably help the team win games right away, whereas Kristaps is just a beanpole right now.
