Saw this on twitter: https://twitter.com/celticspost/status/610634292515983360

I like this idea. Think we'd be better off moving up somewhere between picks 5-10 tho.

The Hornets get James Young. They could use the 16th pick to get a PF like Portis if he's still there. The Knicks get the 9th pick, which means they're bound to get one of Porzingis, Winslow, Mudiay, Stein, Hezonja, Johnson, Turner. The Knicks also get Olynyk & Turner to bolster their roster. They also get the 28th pick which can still get a pretty good player

The Celtics could pick WCS, Winslow, Porzingis, or Mudiay at 4.

As I see it, this is a great trades for all teams involved. No one really gets the short end of the stick. CHA gets their rj hunter. NY gets Payne and talent.

So we give up Young who was a teen pick, Olynyk 13th pick, Turner who was a 2nd pick, the 16th pick and the 28th pick for one guy?  I don't think so.  If there were a Wiggins or someone like that I might briefly consider it.  Or if Russell is still there at 4 I'd consider it.  Otherwise no freaking way.

Are you kidding me?  Willie Caulley Stein is worth that?

I think Portis might end up being the third best player in this draft.  The Euro guys are a gamble as well as Mudiay.  One of the top two guys either won't pan out because of injuries or just plain won't improve.  WCS is a total gamble because of his offense.  Every game he played in college he was on a team that had at least 6 of the best 10 players on the court.   Stein is a junior, Portis a sophmore and SEC player of the year.

For me, I would like to move up, but I don't really see a huge difference between #4 and #9. I don't really want to give up the additional assets it would cost to make that kind of jump.

Who would you move up to get at 9 and what would you give up to get there?
