Sure, if he continues to average 41/12/8.5 and the series goes to seven games.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Honestly, if the Splash Brothers continue to be uninspiring and the Cavs push the Warriors to 6, I really think it's on the table.  It would be a fantastic story.

Wouldn't shock me at all if the way this goes is Warriors win Game 3, 5, and 6, LeBron continues to take 35 shots a game while averaging 40 points for the series, and goes on to win the Finals MVP.

Interesting question.  I don't think they could do it.  He could average 100 points and fans would still throw a nuclear hissy fit if they gave him MVP in a losing effort.

I'm rooting for lebron in this series.  I'm in awe of him.  If you have children, don't rob them of this experience by undermining Lebrons accomplishments with your petty grudges.  This might be the closest that generation ever gets to seeing Ali/Tyson/Jordan in his prime.  True greatness is a rare thing.

This but 6 games. Or by some "Anything is possible " chance he wins in 7.

He should be

He is the MJ for his team .    Pretty much everything for his team.   What ever his team needs he get them

Everybody else is better because of him.

He even keeps the refs in his back pocket

What more do you want........I guess he could drive the team bus.? Or wash the towels.

Need a rebound in traffic at critical moment ,need a drive to basket , need a lock down defense play , need an assist .....play the whole game ......never rest......never hurt ........

The MVP should have to be human though .....not sure he is ..

Sorry but having the best body in the nba doesn't mean greatness to me.
No elegance, no magic in his hand, like you can see with MJ.
As a reminder, just watch (again) MJ's highlights videos. Till this day I haven't seen a player entering shots the way he did.

Last night, Klay Thompson had 34 last night shooting 50% from the floor?  Curry had 19, though he shot horrible and got a lot of free throws to make up for itl  Thompson played great this game.
The first game, they had 21 for Thompson thought he shot horrible and Curry shot well and had 26.

I agree, that they have not had a great game from both of them together.   But I hardly think that they have been uninspiring.

By the incredible standards they have set, they have been uninspiring.

Klay was poor in the 1st half of game 1, then made some plays down the stretch.

In Game 2, he started hot, then kind of trailed off on offense as the game went on, notably absent in the 4th quarter and overtime.  He played good defense, though.

Curry was quite good in Game 1 despite a slow start, then abysmal in Game 2.

So, neither of them has put together a complete game performance yet in this series.  Hence: uninspiring.

Can this happen now? No one on GS has set themselves apart as of yet. Still waiting on the MVP to show up and drop 35-40.

Who else could win it at this point (if the Warriors win)?  Honestly Iguodala's been Golden State's most valuable player so far, but the media loooooooves giving it to stars, so I feel like he's at a huge disadvantage.  Lots of series left for Curry or Green or whoever to make a case though.

It should go to Iggy. 15 ppg plus all-world defense.

If he keeps it up with efficient offense and lockdown d on LeBron he'd probably get it a la Leonard

If the series goes 6 or 7, yes, I think he can win it.
This. What Bron is doing deserves remembering

I think the MVP award should go to a player on the winning team.  If the Dubs do end up winning, they'll probably just give it to the leading scorer (who will probably be Curry).

Although I do agree that up to now, Iggy has been GSW's most valuable player.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

The MVP goes to the most valuable player.  If James wasn't on the Cavs, this series would already be over.  He is basically doubling up statistically the Warriors main players (who aren't exactly shooting well either so you can't really hold that against James very much).

James it the MVP of this series.
