Upshaw because he's within reach and better upside.

We don't have to give up a lot of assets to get Upshaw. And if he is on the right track, he could turn out to be a better player than WCS.

How about neither of the above ... that's my vote.  WCS has limited offense, an inconsistent motor and is a below average defensive rebounder, especially considering his size and length.  And 90 assists in 105 career games at Kentucky tells me he's not much of a passer, either.  While I expect his shot blocking and defensive versatility will keep him in the NBA for awhile, he's not someone I would spend a top-10 pick on.

Aside from the red flags on his character issues, Upshaw is an epically bad free throw shooter, has an inconsistent motor, and probably can't guard a center with a mid-range jumper.  I suspect he has the basketball IQ of a Fab Melo, which is to say he has the IQ of a rock.  Oh, and by the way, he has just 834 minutes of college basketball experience under his belt at the age of 21.

Upshaw. He has the length and size to play in the NBA. I think he also has more upside than WCS.

Upshaw not being invited to workout basically rules him out as a potential pick. I want to believe that Upshaw has the skills to be good but something just rubs me the wrong way. I feel that in both his playing style and interviews he has portrayed himself as "hard headed" for a lack of a better word.

If Upshaw had no issues, coachable, good kid, we would be talking about a  Towns, Okafor, Upshaw top three pick draft

You realize that a few months from now this could end up looking like we ran a poll "who is a better tight end aaron hernandez or gronkowski? (football only, not character!)

It seems like Upshaw may have been involved in some horrible stuff based on what people without vested interests are saying. I personally think it is getting a bit slimy to pump for this guy at this point based on the snippets we have heard.

Exactly. Not sure that you can separate between the two, and even so I still would probably give the edge to WCS, though I'm not too terribly familiar with Upshaw.
