there seems to be such a difference in the two and that certain players with long season are suited to be performers during regular season but when the defense steps up and refs let them play physical and 5 guys are playing defense, along with starters getting more minutes-they get exposed
there are two seasons and celts seem interested in  guys who play playoff basketball year round.
sully, kelly and young have their work cut out.In hindsight i am so glad rondo is gone after that breakdown he had in that playoff game. What an insult to game of basketball during the playoffs. Its refreshing hearing these guys at workouts talk defense and team as their strength

IMO many many players in the NBA play defense at 75-80% durring the season, and then feel they will be able to turn it up in the playoffs. The problem comes up when they find out their not used to play D at full speed for 30-35 minutes. Playing defense at close to 100% level, and being of use on the offensive side of the game, is something that is worked up to. The only way to be able to do it, is actually do it, game in and game out.

If you have two players and one player is the team scoring star, he averages 25 a game, but plays soft defense, you better have players in back of him that hang their hats on playing tough, hard nose team defense. Because if everyone on the team wants to be that scoring star, there is only one ball, get prepared your gonna loose.

That's what DA means when he says he needs more players like Crowder.
