If we pulled this off could we sign Love If we dumped Wallace? If so that would be a great team. If not we have a Nucleus to build around now.

Cousins
Love
Turner
Smart
Thomas

Cousins
Kelly O.
Crowder
Smart
Thomas

Either way both teams would be in great shape. Do the deal.

I really like Sullinger and Bradley, but it would be foolish to pass on Cousins and his good contract.

Definitely, but the Kings aren't trading Boogie for an assortment of role players. Even if the BRK pick winds up being in the 6-10 range (which I believe it will), the Kings wouldn't do this deal.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Terrible deal for the Kings and there's no way they'd do it.  Divac has already said numerous times DMC is not available.  That's especially true for 25 cents on the dollar....

Kings would NEVER do that ....LOL ....not even DA could get that done.

Maybe THREE first ,  KO or Sully , and Young ......might be interesting .....if Boogie starts making noise publicly..... " let me Go ".  .....I want out !     They might listen .

Unless he forces a trade with behavior or falls out with GM and coach ......I don't see them letting loose.

Our best chance is some 3 way that nets them an all star plus all the young assets.   Maybe something like this--

Dragic, KO, Young, Turner, #16, #33, one future BK pick all to the Kings.
Miami gets AB & # 28
Celts get Cousins

How many firsts are 16, 28, and the brooklyn pick? Oh yeah. 3. He offered the same deal as you plus Bradley and Zeller, but his would "NEVER" get done but they would listen to yours?
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
unfortunately the Kings would hang up before you got to Zeller. A bunch of role players and mid first round picks for an NBA superstar?
Hell Naw.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Sacramento hired Karl hoping he can turn a under achieving team into a playoff team, Given that they haven't made the playoffs in donkeys years , why would they want to take on board a few role players and 2 rookies and another one next year?
I know Karl wanted to get back in the game and get paid , but the guy has a long history of getting his teams turned around and into the playoffs. They want to see some quick results.
I would do the trade with protection on the Brooklyn pick.

Marcus Smart would have to be included in that deal for the Kings to even consider it.

Unfortunately we may have to wait until at least next  summer to be in the running for Cousins when he has 2 years left on his contract, and if the Kings are still in bad shape then.  I think they will give it a year to see if they can right the ship with Karl as head coach.

It will give us 1 more year of a better understanding of how good our young players can be, and maybe their trade values increase.  Also we could be armed with up to 4 first round picks with the possibility of at least 1 or 2 of them being lottery picks.  Better assets a year from now most likely.

I think it's much more likely we'll start to see fireworks next offseason as much as I would like Cousins and Love here this summer, which I'm fine being patient.  I wouldn't put anything past Ainge though happening sooner.
