This is a no brainer. Fill a huge need while only giving up picks in this draft. No future firsts or current players? And we still get to keep our 33 to pick up someone else(Upshaw, Vaughn, Christmas, Mickey)
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

First, I thought "What would we do with Stanislas Wawrinka?".

16+28+45 for Stanley is a no-brainer to me. I'd gladly do 16+Young (I really do not like him). We need quality and SJ has a good chance ending a quality 2-way player.
"We do so many defensive drills in practice, I come home and I'm putting the press on my woman, denying her the ball.
Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

I absolutely would but I think he then makes Jae Crowder redundant within a year or two.

Similar strengths/weaknesses.

I like Crowder but I think if you have the chance to get at best a K. Leonard/ at worst Ron Artest type player, you do it.

I think he's my favorite guy we actually have a shot at trading up for to draft.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I guess my question would be, if it's a no-brainer, why would the other team make this trade?

Well say we trade up to 9 with the Hornets. The Hornets probably don't want the same player they already have in Kidd Ghilchrist who went #2 overall I believe.

Would this package get it done?

You are looking at Miami, Indiana, Utah here.

The reason their picks may be available is because they are looking to compete next year. getting later picks does not really accomplish that.

Miami could use depth throughout their team, but I assume they would rather get that depth through veterans.

I think AB and Sully would be really intriguing to them as well as Evan Turner.

Indiana could be had for this deal assuming they want Payne and think he'll be there at 16 but I wouldnt be at all surprised if OKC took Payne at 14 so thats a risk for them.

Utah wants to compete this year and the only holes in their lineup are at the 2 and the 1.

I think theyd much rather squeeze AB out of us.
