As I remember it, KG didn't want to come here because we lacked talent. Wally was moved because he was the other big expiring contract we had and we wern't going to trade him to bak to minny. Is there an article where KG says he doesn't want to play wth Wally?

The Lakers can trade Randle and draft someone else besides Okafor, or trade the pick for more help for Love.

Imagine this scenario:

Trade Julius Randle and 2nd pick for Rudy Gobert and Gordon Hayward. Sign Kevin Love.

PG: Some guy
SG: Kobe
SF: Hayward
PF: Love
C: Gobert

I might seriously watch Lakers games for fun and not just to hope to see them lose miserably and in embarrassing fashion.

No way the Jazz would do that trade.  I don't think they would trade either Gobert or Hayward for Randle and the #2 let alone both.

If Love even asks for Olynyk to be removed off the team he would be a ****.
That is not the type of player Boston should be rolling out the red carpet for. ::)

That's exactly what KG did when we still had WallyZ

So is that why He got traded to Seattle in the Package deal for Allen prior to the Celtics even trading for Garnett?
No trying to be argumentative?
NBA and their egos , just got to laugh.

Yessir, kg turned it down initially.   Once Wally was out & Ray in, KG signed on

That had to do with talent and not specifically directed at WallyZ. The Celtics were simply a far more attractive team to KG once Ray Allen was here.

PP + Ray meant that KG could compete for a championship.
PP + Wally meant that even with KG the Cs would still need help.

KG wasn't going to go to a team that still needed to make substantial moves even after he arrived. Hence the initial turn-down and his change of mind later on.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

If he ends up in Boston I think it will be because:
1. The Celtics can offer him the offensive focal point role he deserves
2. The Celtics are willing to match the highest contract offer he gets
3. Love is impressed by the coaching staff and believes in their ability to develop the young guys on the team.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Because he wants to be in a Ben Affleck movie.

Oh, wait.

Imagine this one instead:

Draft Pick/Trade

In regards to #3, it's tough not to be impressed with Coach Stevens and also the organization itself, namely Danny Ainge.

He loves Boston

He does not want to be a third wheel in Cleveland

The Lakers already have their four (Randle and Okafor in a couple of weeks)

Clippers already have their four.

If Boston gets rid of Olynyk Kevin Love would be in the bag.

He loves LA.

He would not be a third wheel for the Lakers.

The Lakers can trade Randle and draft someone else besides Okafor, or trade the pick for more help for Love.

Why oh why spoil a fun thread with rational thinking?

So what you are saying is... Kobe is going to pass him the ball.

And here I thought MLK had a hell of a dream..

I really hope we can get Kevin Love. But if we do we can't waste any time. We would need to find a rim protector and try to be really good right away and not waste any years on Love's contract. We would have to build the team around him.

Man... this is a Love to Boston thread, and you just made the Lakers a playoff team out West.

Or we could trade KO+ ET+ 16 for 9 and take Johnson
Then sign Love and Gasol

Crowder Johnson
Love Sully
Gasol Zeller

Exactly how I felt lol.

Screw the Lakers.

I don't get why everyone thinks Love going to the Lakers is a good idea... Ummm... This gives the Lakers a bonafide offensive/rebounding PF, that is relatively young, and it only allows them to trade away Randle, or whoever + their pick to bring in an superstar.
