bigger and stronger and having more range on his jumper-zeller will also benefit from a second
season with brad and hopefully some semblance of  of normality with players and rotations-last season was a nightmare for a new center on defenses as well as offense with all those trades and  then injuries to smart, kelly and sullinger-and adjusting to isiah at both ends of court-

rollie, i hope you are correct. but what specifically leads you to this conclusion? do you have any links that suggest this? or observations on his play last season?

thanks.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Bigger and stronger is what he came as last season, and it seemed detrimental to him.

We'll see.

last season he came in bigger from summer working out,
he is an excellent fre throw shooter, very methodical consistent form that translates well to his mid range shot, which he was taking with accuracy at end of season and extending a bit
his brother has range
has mid west work ethic and is smart, has great flip hook right and left with soft touch, shows years of reps
he has college pedigree
last year a nightmare with all the changes and injuries for a guy that depends on timing and getting the ball in right spot, just look at all those low passes from evan and bradley--and last i think he stated he was a better shooter than people thought and to extend range just needs to practice-
another year with brad, the same town and hopefully some stability

Wasn't last year the best year of his career?

he did seem lost and slower but that could have been adjusting to new team and players-but your point is taken.

He's part of the mix but as was proven in the playoffs, he's a liability when it comes to rebounding.  He'll be part of a center platoon but the key guy will be whoever they bring in to compliment him.  Zeller can't be on the floor when you need stops late in games.

title's a bit misleading.  I read it and thought "well duh, he's still under contract"

I wonder how many really watched Zeller in CLE from these comments.

Unless if he is part of a bigger trade for an elite player like Cousins.

It's funny, I thought the same thing. Rollie's subject lines are sort of like teaser trailers.

He did come in to the season more built up last year, but seemed to quickly lose as much weight as Sully gained. At this point, short of sipping out of LBJ's juice boxes, he's probably pretty much who he is.

Yes by far, plus he shot the ball great so no it didn't hurt him to get bigger and stronger at all, if anything it helped him.

It would be nice for him to make improvements in the summer, however I feel at his current skill set he would be a perfect big off of the bench. If we do get a serviceable defensive minded big in the off season, then Zeller will thrive next season.
