Great Basketball

When I think about great basketball, I think about crisp passing, a post game, defense, rebounding, a "pass to the open man" mentality, moving without the ball and hitting shots...

I was thinking about that today and started to think, that is how basketball was played in the 80's by many teams.  Then I turned off the ECF and watched a youtube full game of the Celtics vs. the Bulls in 1986.  Really enjoyed the game, terrific passing, clutch games and a young Michael Jordan. 

He was unstoppable, even in the win for the C's.  I feel like such an old guy when I say that I am so happy to have grown up during this era of basketball.

Ha!  That's hilariously funny, as I had that exact exchange with my son earlier.  He was talking about how the Spurs play basketball being a pace and space offense.  I told him that used to be called "basketball".  :) 

Young whippersnappers!  Get off my lawn.  :)
