Hoopshype has them at around $78 going into next season with Draymond Green an UFA. What do?

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/golden_state.htm

I would give Draymond Green the max and if the owner forces me to go below the luxury tax I would trade David Lee and a first to a team with cap space such as Philadelphia.

I don't think the Warriors would have to give up a pick with Lee.

...serious answer, you absolutely keep Green.  He's their 2nd most important player at this point - yes more than Klay - and he wants to stay.  Pay him, and sort out the other considerations secondarily.

Agreed on Dray being second most important.

The one-two punch of Curry and Klay makes the Warriors very dangerous.

But what makes them so versatile and difficult to beat is the fact that, in addition to Curry's flamethrower offense, they have a do-it-all defender who can take the toughest assignment pretty much regardless of the opponent and also spread the floor on offense.

Bogut is very important too.  Perhaps on par with Klay.  He's become underrated because he was never able to live up to his 1st overall pick pedigree in Milwaukee, but he's been huge for the Warriors.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Keep everybody.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Steep financial penalties would prevent them from keeping everyone. Plus, there isn't much value in having 2 bench players making over $25 million.

Trade AI and the 30th pick to C's or 76ers for a TPE and a mid second rounder.

What the heck?  AI has been one of the best 6th man's in the league this year.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

If I can afford them, I would keep them. I don't know how fat GSW owners' pockets are but I would do what I could to keep everyone together. I would buy one less painting or a few less cars, I would pretty much give up all the stupid things rich people buy until that t.v. money rolls in.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

AI has two years on the books and is way overpaid for a 6th man. If he is moved then Lee expires there will be no issue paying Green, Barnes and in the future Bogut. It's about managing the cap long term.

I would be finding the best cognitive remediation and kinesiology/PT specialists in the country right now. That was definitely a concussion, and he may well be feeling a little sluggish and off-center headed into the Finals.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Trade David Lee. Resign Dray, look at trading Iggy, but don't rush that.

Managing the cap long term is something you do by not paying Barnes and Bogut big money. Not that Bogut doesn't deserve it, but he's already 30 and an injury risk.

I'm not suggesting big money. Even at say 10% discounted market rates it will be costly for each resigning. They can't have bench guys making over ten million like AI and Lee which is why you try to move AI and then let Lee expire.

Barnes may be happy enough about his promotion over Iggy this year. He's playing well, and I think his well-documented history as a "brand in the making" over years, and subsequent performance, may give him some insight into where he is in the league. If you move AI, maybe he Barnes could be kept at a reasonable price with a guarantee of starter minutes. Then make determination re: Bogut following this season... may be wise to overpay if you're a defending champ with loads of young talent. Defensive anchors are hard to come by.
