Well I think it's pretty safe to say that he's neither of the last two, lol ;D.

It would be interesting for someone to make a list of, say, the top 25 of all time. I admit to not knowing enough to be able to do that accurately, especially b/c I'm only 31 and missed out on watching a lot of the greats before my time.

A bonafide ALPHA, IMO top 15 player all time. Easily among the best SGs all time.

Closest player to Jordan, as far as style and ability...basically same instincts as Michael...perhaps not same ability to make others around him better, but even in that regard he focused on his role.

Elite defender, elite scorer, pain in BOS rear-end.

Kobe is an ultimate source of laughter and joy for me, too (His pained expressions as BOS took LA out back to the shed for butt-whippings in 2008 Finals will FOREVER be a source of constant joy and reflection for me).

As for 2009-10? Not so much.

Would've LOVED for the KG-Ray-Paul and Kobe-Pau-Bynum era to continue for a few more years. BOS and LA will not be able to renew that rivalry for some time.

I wish Kobe Bean Bryant well as he prepares to leave the game. I hope he considers staying longer, as long as he's competitive. Once his kind is gone the game won't be that fun to me anymore.

He was/is the Ultimate Villain and seems to relish that role.

In LA, Kobe is top 5 all-time; everywhere else outside of Boston, he is top ten.

In Boston, he's top 20.

good call. top 5 for kobe as best sg in history makes sense. number one is jordan, duh.  :P

after that, it comes down to a number of subjective criteria i think. personally, i have jerry west as number two. kobe could be number 3 on that list. other top 5?

gervin and dexler come to mind. one could throw havlicek into this mix, but it might be a tough argument. iverson? not for me, but i can see why some folks would include him in the top 5.

curry might someday be included in this debate.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He's top 15.

Could have finished top 10, but unfortunately the last 3-4 years of his career have been wasted due to injury and him being a nightmare of a teammate.

Top 10 all-time. 2nd best SG ever.

MJ
Mamba
Jerry West
AI
Havlicek

Really tough to rank them after that.
